Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Doomben, Ballarat, Bunbury and Mount Gambier.

RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 4 @ 2:35 PM

Selected JAWHARAT DUBAI (12) on top at $3.20 before five or six key rivals were scratched, leaving her now as a standout but in the red. Registered her fifth minor placing in a row when beaten a whisker over this distance at Newcastle last start. Won't be too far away in transit in the small field. Blinkers for the first time and McDonald going on are significant ticks. Fangirl's little brother WIPEOUT (7) returns from a 21-week lay-off. Didn't have the best of luck in the two runs of his maiden prep. Worth a look with blinkers on for the first time. WILD FLASH (6) led but found a couple better late in the piece when even-money favourite in a Gunnedah maiden over this distance last time out. Should lead and give a sight. AL RAS BLUES (8) is back from an 18-week break. Opened last prep with a minor placing over 1100m at Wyong. In the mix. Stablemate CHARMING LEGEND (2) has placed in a couple of recent trials and is worth considering on debut.
SELECTIONS: Jawharat Dubai will be short but should win.

DOOMBEN: RACE 7 @ 3:28 PM

Gollan-trained RISING PACIFIC (6) spiked his figures again when narrowly beaten in an Eagle Farm 78. He was expected to win here following but was plain (vet cleared). Best to treat that as an anomaly. Orman is reunited today and will navigate from the inside barrier. He's the one to beat. BETTCHA THE CROWN (3) has been racing well without winning. Drops back a level today and maps for a soft run. A live chance. POETIC DRAMA (5) gave away a big start beaten 1.5L in the Listed Silk Stocking at the Sunshine Coast and then held that figure unplaced in a Group 3 here. Drawn low can sit handy and she benefits from a 1.5kg claim. TWIGMAN (13) is going well and has more to give. Maps for the run of the race.
SELECTIONS: Backing Rising Pacific.

BALLARAT: RACE 7 @ 3:55 PM

Keen on RACKEMANN (2). He's had three runs this time in and placed in all of them, good behind some smart types. Found one better again last start at Cranbourne over this trip but looks to have found a fairly thin race here and will take a power of beating. PREVAILED (1) was a dominant winner first up at Geelong on heavy ground before struggling badly at Sandown-Hillside. Any rain around would naturally help him bounce back. MR TRAFFICANTI (6) resumes and is in the mix. LIGHT OF ROSE (9) next best.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Rackemann.

BUNBURY: RACE 4 @ 2:24 PM

MAGICASH (3) was very impressive on debut, sitting outside the leader and scoring comfortably in the heavy conditions. She draws a better gate this time for Pike and should be prominent from the outset again. Looks a nice filly in the making and she can remain undefeated. HOSTILE TALK (1) jumped favourite first-up at Belmont and was beaten 1.1L in the heavy conditions. Expecting him to be better with the run under his belt and a swag of gear changes this time. Rises in weight, but has good talent and appears the main danger. ROMMING DANGER (4) beat home Hostile Talk last start and can improve again third-up into the campaign. The wide draw is the main niggle, but he's in good touch and another bold effort is anticipated. TWIGGER (2) is better than he's shown his past couple and gets some things in his favour this time. Can bounce back. HOT NOVA (5) should appreciate this company first-up and won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Magicash.rac

MT GAMBIER: RACE 7 @ 4:15 PM

LUNA DIVA (6) enjoyed a ratings spike last start at Penola when missing by a nose. Drawn much kinder this time and is open to further improvement. Leading player. MYLITLESTARTHATCAN (10) showed good tactical speed last time at Penola, only to be gathered in over the concluding stages. Fitter again and can give a bold sight. PYTHAGORAS (1) doesn't win out of turn but should find this easier as he journeys across from Vic. Rates highly on best figures and is one of the key chances. INNOCENT PEGG (12) has done a good job to finish in the frame in her last two. Is experiencing a long drought but can be very competitive if she can hold her form.
SELECTIONS: Backing Luna Diva to win.
