He was a beaten $1.40 favourite last start at Dubbo where he raced ungenerously over 1300m. He spat the bit out a few times, and seemingly struggled to keep up. Now he's back in trip, and he's odds-on again. Not sure how genuine he is.
Found this a very open race at the and GUNBOWER currently sets up as the race favourite. He showed good signs of talent in his debut prep, but comes into this off a long break now, throw in the fact he has a wide barrier as well which could make for an awkward run. I feel that there are a few risks and at his current price as favourite I am willing to risk.
GREYHOUNDS
Sandown Park: Race 10; #5 Delicate
Delicate can be hit or miss early and I would prefer her drawn closer to the rails. I'm hoping Mitzi Rocks can run a cheeky race out in front off a great draw and map to help this Lay be successful.
Sandown Park: Race 11; #8 Galento
Galento may find it tough getting a clear run from the dreaded outside draw here. There's enough depth in this race to barrack for the rest of them.
