WARWICK FARM October 29

Inside Grass; Good 4

15 Heats – 3 x 1200m (1 Open; 2 x C1/Maiden); 4 x 795m (3 Open; 1 2YO); 4 x 792m (1 2YO; 3 Maiden); 4 x 789m (4 Maiden)

Some nice maiden prospects and the 2YO trial form should be reliable.

REGIMENTAL COLOURS (Bjorn Baker): Has featured in Trial Watch several times with this being the third trial win since May by this unraced All Too Hard filly. She's well educated and showed her natural speed to lead comfortably and extend under no pressure for a soft win, running fast time in her 792m heat (45.56; 32.75). Time for her to go to the races.

Other smart maiden heat winners included NINETTE, KING OF DRAGONS and LONGCROSS.

I like the form in the 2YO trials. Trapeze Artist filly TUPAKARA showed good potential with her debut fourth in the Gimcrack Stakes and was faultless cruising to an easy win the fillies heat over 795m (46.90; 33.33).

In the colts heat over 792m (46.86; 33.41) WEST OF SWINDON and WODETON, a pair of youngsters by boom international sire Wootton Basset, showed natural talent to dominate the trial with strong on pace efforts. They are in top stables and look ready for bold debuts.

HAWKESBURY October 28

Inside Grass; Good 3

14 Heats – 2 x 1250m (2 Open); 5 x 1000m (2 Open; 3 Maiden); 7 x 800m (2 Open; 2 2YO; 3 Maiden)

A fast 2YO heat win and some sharp maiden trial wins by the Godolphin team.

NORTH ENGLAND (Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott): This Farnan colt was an early trial star before finishing third in the Breeders Plate on debut and showed the benefit of that race experience to win his 800m heat in easily the fastest time of the session (45.84; 33.35). Sure to be fancied when next produced.

James Cummings won five trials including four maiden heats. AFLOAT, an unraced gelding by Astern, was the one that made the best impression in the 1000m heats posting faster time (59.79; 34.19) than stablemates ALGARVE (61.11; 33.43) and HEAVENFIELD (60.33; 34.23) while BLUE ILLUSION added another impressive win to his trial record in his 800m heat (47.08; 32.72).
