TRIAL POINTERS

RANDWICK September 26: SWIFT LEGEND was unplaced in his first three starts last season but improvement is imminent judging by his impressive work to win his 1045m heat in good time (62.95; 34.46). A runaway leader was six lengths clear at the 200m before he went through his gears to make up the margin under a soft ride.

NEWCASTLE September 24: Maiden mare EMERY was an Impressive winner of her 800m heat, cruising clear of her rivals to win under restraint by 1.7 lengths. Could easily have improved on her good time (48.85; 33.84).

WARWICK FARM September 18: Unraced I Am Invincible filly TAXATION was placed in her first two trials for James Cummings in January when we picked up her ability. This was her second trial for Joe Pride and she looks primed for a good debut after winning her 789m heat with authority in good time (46.51; 33.03).

RANDWICK September 16: Smart Harry Angel 4YO ZEALOUSLY must be followed after winning his first trial since June, working better than the G1 star Overpass to win the fastest 740m heat (43.50; 33.19) under a soft ride.

HAWKESBURY September 15: Impressed by the effort of Ole Kirk filly GRAND CAROUSEL to finish second in her 1000m maiden heat (60.21; 34.37). She had only one start last season and should be an improver through her coming campaign.

ROSEHILL September 9: Notable 900m heat winners included IMPERIAL FORCE (54.17; 34.02) while runners to take the eye with their late work included LAVENDER ROSE and ISTOLEA MERC.

WYONG September 8: Just the second trial and first since last November by Winning Rupert gelding REAL BAKER with his ability clearly obvious as he kicked away in his 845m heat for an impressive 3.5 lengths win (49.50; 34.54). The Baker stable is adept at placing their maidens to advantage and I'm sure they will find the right race for this 3YO. Other smart maiden trials included eye catching efforts from VITTOZI and CRATHIE KIRK.

WARWICK FARM September 4: Maidens to keep an eye include TAXATION and MICRO MAGIC.

RANDWICK September 2: Maidens looking primed for a good showing included AVENUE MONTAIGNE.

WARWICK FARM April 29: David Pfieffer won a sprint heat with CALL ME SASSY (790m – 48.49; 34.20) and should have her placed to advantage when she resumes

ROSEHILL January 7: Unraced youngster YOWERI was a good winner of his 900m heat (55.50; 35.29) while behind him TAXATION was the runner to make the best impression.
