RANDWICK November 7
A set of trials that shifts the focus to upcoming late spring and early summer feature races.
SYLPH (Michael Freedman): Shouldn't take long for this I Am Invincible filly to break her maiden after a classy win in her 1045m heat (62.97; 34.59). She was placed in her first three starts last season but has come on well with her spell with this effort showing nice improvement off her placing in a Randwick trial last month. She travelled wide but put in l,ovely work over the last 200m to win with plenty in reserve.

YORKSHIRE (John O'Shea/Tom Charlton): Classy performer is ready to go first-up after backing up his excellent trial at Randwick on October 20 with an impressive win the fastest 1045m heat (62.08; 34.05), rounding up the smart leader DAWN SERVICE with sharp work over the last 200m. We know he has abundant talent and could really rise to a new level over the summer.

Classy 4YO ANGEL CAPITAL trucked through his 900m trial in great style, showing he is the right form to take on another G1 assignment before the end of the spring.
ANGEL CAPITAL (Chris Waller): Settled third behind the leaders with Zac Lloyd having to keep him under a big hold as he was eager to run in his 900m heat won in good style by the smart mare MONTE KATE (54.97; 34.79). Nothing flash about the time but the manner of his work over the last 100m when he was never let go has him cherry ripe to make up for his luckless G1 efforts at his last two starts.
BIG PAPA (Bjorn Baker): Promising Astern gelding carved out fast time leading his 900m heat and was full of running over the last 300m as he cruised away to score by almost six lengths in the quickest of the trials over the distance (53.78; 33.90). Raced once last season for a country maiden win and looks another of the Baker team to progress through the classes. The effort of the talented filly SEQUISTA to finish third also has plenty of merit.
PYROLISIS (Bjorn Baker): Racy Zoustar filly was placed twice in June and July and should have no trouble picking up a maiden win after another sharp trial win. She won a Rosehill trial on October 24 and backed it up winning the fastest 1030m heat (61.12; 34.27) by more than three lengths, spearing clear over the last 200m with sharp acceleration.
QUIETLY ARROGANT (Peter Snowden): Yet to see the best of this classy 3YO but his two recent trials have him primed for a good summer. Improved off his second in a Randwick trial on October 20 to work home under a soft ride over the top of his stablemate FLYING THINKER for an impressive win his 1030m heat (62.43; 34.37) with the pair clearing out by more than 10 lengths from the rest of the field.
There were two 2YO heats with the Russian Revolution colt SEEIAYE improving on his debut second in a Rosehill trial to record a strong win his 900m heat (54.,39; 34.89) where the debut trial of the Home Affairs youngster INTERNAL AFFAIRS to finish off nicely for third took the eye. The other heat was won in slow time by TENENBAUM (55.58; 33.10), sprinting home ahead of a smart second by EURIPEDES to repeat his debut win in a Hawkesbury trial on October 21.
