Just days after Autumn Angel suffered a tendon injury that has almost certainly ended her career, the Group 1 winner will be offered for sale.

The daughter of The Autumn Sun will be the subject of a boutique Inglis Digital Online Sale that starts on Monday next week.

The Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman-trained four-year-old is poised to become the latest mare to sell for seven figures in Australia.

In an 11-start career, the $230,000 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale purchase won four races, headlined by this year's Group 1 ATC Australian Oaks (2400m), and almost $1.2m.

Autumn Angel's final start came the Group 1 Queensland Derby (2400m), in which she finished ninth as $2.35 favourite, but had been preparing well for her spring assignments before suffering her injury earlier this week.

"I've had some good ones and trust me, this girl was right up there in the top bracket," Moody, who trained Black Caviar, said.

"She was a special racehorse who had so much ahead of her on the track but instead, it's now time for her to become a mum and she'll be one heck of a broodmare, mark my words."

The catalogue for next week's sale goes live at inglisdigital.com this coming Friday, September 27, with bidding to open at 9am next Monday and the final countdown commencing from 4pm the following day.
