Further changes to Magic Millions Gold Coast January Sale calendar
The 2025 Magic Millions Carnival has undergone further changes with a 'Super Session' of selling now planned for the eve of the feature raceday.
The Saturday night session that has traditionally followed the rich raceday has been discontinued with Book 1 of the world-famous sale to now conclude the day before the day that is headlined by the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
"We strongly believe these changes to the schedule will be of huge benefit to all involved in our flagship sale,," Magic Millions managing director Barry Bowditch said.
"The Gold Coast Yearling Sale has gone from strength to strength, year after year.
"Therefore, this is not a decision we have made lightly, knowing that the success of January is critical to the yearling sales calendar across Australasia.
"Our aim is to continually enhance the operations of the Gold Coast Yearling Sale and the overall experience for all our key stakeholders who actively attend the sale each year."
The allotment of yearlings traditionally offered following the raceday on the Saturday night will now be transferred to directly follow the regular Friday line-up, with the session estimated to run from 10am until 8pm.
The catalogue for the 2025 Gold Coast Yearling Sale will be released in November.
