New Plymouth Race 1
2 Tisse
Tip of The Day

The blinkers being applied in Tisse's last two starts have really switched him on, culminating in a maiden win last start. Being a son of Belardo, the wet tracks don't seem to bother him and I can't see any reason why he can't go on with it back at his home track.

New Plymouth Race 2
4 Bella Timing

She has been good without winning of late. Now back to her home track with only 53.5kg on her back after Rihaan Goyaram's 4kg claim, she looks poised to get another win on the board. She has the benefit of recent racing, which should stand her in good stead in what will be hard going on Saturday.

New Plymouth Race 3
1 Bruno

Each Way
He broke through for a well-deserved maiden win at Waverley last start. I don't think the wide draw will prove too much of a negative in the conditions, while recent racing should see him rock hard fit for Saturday. Looks a decent each way play for mine.

New Plymouth Race 4
6 Street Gossip

I was happy to be against the stablemate and favourite, Islington Lass, where Street Gossip looks to be better placed for this Saturday. She handles wet tracks, won well first-up, and now only has 50kg on her back after Rihaan Goyaram's claim. Too many positives for me not to side with her in this.

New Plymouth Race 5
6 Urenui

Happy to be with Urenui at the price in this, off the back of a solid last start 2nd at Hawera. He handles the Heavy tracks well and gets in with only 50kg on his back after Elle Sole's 4kg claim. While Justaskme is a proven class galloper, especially on wet tracks, he has come up very very short for mine.

New Plymouth Race 6
1 Cocktail Lad

He has plenty of recent racing under his belt and tends to handle the Heavy tracks better than most. It'll be very testing come this point of the day and I think he can out-tough this field if he can blend into the race at the right time.

New Plymouth Race 7
9 Arcadian Lynx

Very open and competitive edition of the ITM New Plymouth Interprovincial. I thought Arcadian Lynx could give some check at long odds off the strength of her last start Waverley win. The main concern would be that both career wins have come at her home track at Waverley, now needs to show that form away from home.

New Plymouth Race 8
3 Outer Focus

I'm expecting a much improved showing out of Outer Focus, who didn't perform at Te Rapa, although was later found to have bruising under a hind plate. I don't think we've seen the best from this horse and now 3rd up, he should be nearing peak fitness for this run at his home track.
