Bit of a word around prior to the debut effort down South and wasn't bad. There looks to be a motor there and will know the way around this place pretty from being trained here. Not a deep field either so should be right in the fight here for a long way.

Back from a spell and looking to continue what could be a great start to the day for Matty Wiliamson. Showed a lot of promise in the three starts to the races last time in and looked certain to improve with a bit of time on the side too. Few to get around but should be going close.

Encouraging signs in two of first three appearances at the races and finds a very winnable race to get on the board here. Needs to get it all right but with good manners should be a little too good for them here with a nice run in transit.

7 Obsession
Got back into the winning groove last time out and did in style too. Bonus run in this grade given it was a penalty free win and she's a mare with a very high turn of speed when able to be saved up for it in her races. Things should pan out OK from the draw and hard to beat again.

5 Ti Amo Belle
Fitness on side might be the key advantage here in what could end up being quite a tactical affair. She's a very capable mare who might be able to find her way onto the speed here and look to dominate. Some nice horses in here though so will need to be at the top of her game.

Think the last start effort can be put down to a tricky barrier but finds a much more suitable marble to work from today to continue the great run of form. Really in the zone and racing strongly and this isn't an overly strong field so would expect another really bold effort.

Likely to be on the quick back up from Addington on Friday night but the Mark Jones team generally handles that pretty well. Getting better and better with racing under the belt and this is a pretty even looking line up here today and with a bit of luck should be hard to catch.

Given a freshen up following his last start sixth but was back at the trials and winning at Addington a fortnight ago. Grand campaigner in this grade who is always a chance and his adaptability in races always make him a leading contender. High speed to use, but can do some work too.

Oamaru Harness Race 9
6 Majesdix
Went beast mode on the rivals last time out and delivered a powerful victory. Can carry that form right through as well and again this race doesn't look to much stronger. Seems to like to get handy and a chance there to do that. Can win again.

4 Piccadilly Pete
In great form at the moment and not getting all the luck in the world either. Has a really high turn of speed to use and if able to get into a decent position would be a more than deserving winner of this race today. Certainly won't get many better opportunities.
