She looks to be the known commodity in this race, having performed consistently well of late without winning. While Clyde Barrow and Yungblud have shown ability at times, they haven't shown close to their best in recent times. Therefore, happy to side with Iff I Get Paaid in what looks a good opportunity for her to breakthrough.

Filly with plenty of upside who hasn't been disgraced in much stronger races in the North Island. I'd expect she could be on a path to some better 3yo fillies races in the South Island, and should be accounting for this field to kick off this campaign.

Ultra-impressive win last start, where she charged over the top after being held up early in the straight. The map does favour her market rivals, Morning Star and Forever Babe, however, I think Not Straight Laced can still round them up with even luck in running.

7 Irish Moss
Not a high quality maiden, with the field as a whole placing 5 times from 64 starts. I've sided with with Irish Moss, who is yet to place in 15 starts. Two of her better performances have been when partnered with Joe Doyle, who takes the reins in this. Expect to see her get back early and look to grind home over the top late.

While he was very poor on Saturday when not looking to have any excuses, I thought there was plenty of merit in the way he stuck on in his prior start here. He maps to get a nice run from his middle gate, where I expect Kylie Williams will look to have him positioned just behind the leaders throughout.

Massive effort last start where he was caught wide and working throughout in what was a genuinely run race. From a slightly better barrier (6), I'd expect he should get a much more economical run in transit this time. A repeat of his last start effort would be very competitive here.

Tip of The Day
Very stiff last start when held up at a crucial stage turning last start at this course/distance in stronger company. She often jumps very well which should see her find a forward position without working too hard early. I don't see the weight increase bothering her. Tina Comignaghi sticks.
