Riccarton Park Race 1
4 Amiinit

Amiinit will likely be rolling forward early under Denby-Rose Tait from the wide gate (13). There doesn't look to be a significant amount of early speed drawn underneath, therefore she should be able to find the front with a positive ride. If she gets there, she will be hard to run down.

Riccarton Park Race 2
1 Age Of Discovery
Tip of The Day

Age Of Discovery was very good winning on debut, without setting the world on fire as the strongly supported $1.50 favourite. He maps to sit outside the leader again here, where I expect Simsala will lead underneath him. Age Of Discovery will only be improved for this, should take plenty of beating.

Riccarton Park Race 3
6 Roc 'N' Ready

Early season 2yo race over 800m with all of these on debut and two of the six runners having no public jumpouts or trials, automatically a very low confidence betting race. I've not been overly impressed by the exposed trials of Roc 'N' Ready's opposition, and while she has no public trials or jumpouts to speak of, I think she maps to get a nice trailing run behind Eliza James.

Riccarton Park Race 4
3 Goldie's Chance

Goldie's Chance won well first-up at this course /distance. She got back off a strong tempo and swept over the top late. I think she maps to get a similar setup here, may just require some luck from the wide gate (12).

Riccarton Park Race 5
3 Dazzling Miss

Dazzling Miss resumes here after performing to a good level last season. Her two trials haven't been anything to be excited by, however, I'm willing to overlook them due to the price we are getting about her. She's well placed just above the minimum in this race and should get a trailing spot behind Riviera Rebel.

Riccarton Park Race 6
8 El Viento

El Viento wasn't as bad as it may have appeared first-up, where he was back and wide in a race where those on the inside lanes looked to be advantaged. He's trialled very well in the interim, suggesting an improved run can be expected. As long as the track isn't playing too "up and in", I don't see the wide draw (11) as too much of a concern with his racing pattern.

Riccarton Park Race 7
3 Fierce Flight

Fierce Flight has been very good in his two runs back from a spell. While you could argue a couple of these had his measure last start, the step up to 2000m third-up as well as the firmer track conditions will aid his chances significantly. The only concern I have is that he maps to get back off a moderate tempo. That aside, I think he looks a great 1×3 each way play in this field.

Riccarton Park Race 8
1 Lippy

Lippy has been dropped by the market and I don't think it's warranted. He was travelling like the winner behind Sprocket Rocket last start, before not looking to be letting down too comfortably on the Soft7 track. Now back on a firmer surface, drawn low (2), with a 2kg claim, I thought you could do much worse than him at the $18/$5 at publish.

Riccarton Park Race 9
1 The Number One Son

The Number One Son has clearly had his issues, having only been seen at the races three times in the last 18 months, with long gaps between each run. Considering he had been away from the races for nearly a year, I thought there was plenty of merit in his resuming effort on the Riccarton Synthetic. If he can produce anything close to his peak figures here second-up, he would take some beating in this.
