Hard to remember when Akatea last ran a bad race. She's just so consistent and must be rewarded with another victory at short notice. Tonight looks a good chance too. She drops back in grade from some strong company recently and if confidently driven should be able to bully her way to success here.

1 Always B Charlie
Tip of The Day
Not a lot of luck has fallen the way of Always B Charlie in his last couple of races, but the tide is turning with the pick up of barrier one here. He's a talented pacer and from the inside should be punching out and holding a forward position throughout which will make him the horse to beat.

8 Elizabeth Hill
After some frustrating times, Elizabeth Hill is racing a lot more generously these days and putting in solid performances. Two really good seconds in her last two starts and if she can maintain that form and get herself up onto the speed again tonight then she'll be hard to hold out.

9 Jolimont
Found the right race last time and was a little bit too good for them all was Jolimont. His best is pretty sharp and wouldn't have been out of place down at Addington this week. Good market support early suggests he's a strong hope again today and with a safe beginning should come right into play.

Hard to get a ling on exactly where Pantani is at right now after a couple of mistakes in the last two runs. His best, without doubt, would smash this field but you're getting some longer odds now to find out. Returning to Cambridge might be a good chance for a change in fortunes and would expect him to be winning tonight.

5 Kevin Kline
Fresh up for the Ray Green barn , Kevin Kline slides in here pretty well tonight and finds the right kind of race from which to make a serious play for success. Can jump and run early and get himself onto the speed and out of trouble and if dominating from the top will be very hard to beat.

Two really good runs since resuming from a spell should have Heaven High a leading contender here. Small field to contend with but really racing in great heart and if Monika Ranger can find the right spot early then there's a chance of another success being added here.

Escaping Auckland and some strong opposition here is Chapel Gate. Last start effort behind a good one in Franco Santana should be enough to win a race like this, especially from the good barrier draw. Expect Tony Herlihy to push forward early and get into a favourable spot.

Prepared to give So Mystifying one more chance to break maidens here. Hasn't been putting it together for a few starts now, but the ability is there and the smaller field tonight should really help the chances. Just needs to get it right and can win it.
