Cambridge Harness Picks - Wednesday, 18 December

Cambridge Harness Race 1
8 Hayley Mhor

There's always been a maiden win in Hayley Mhor, but unfortunately the best opportunities haven't always been met with the best of performances. Tonight is another of those chances though and if able to bring complete manners to the party should be able to beat this field. Risky, but good enough.
Selections: 8-6-7-3-4

Cambridge Harness Race 2
8 Medina Magic

Tonight's assignment signals a decent drop back in grade for Medina Magic after stepping out against some quality fields in recent times, much stronger than this. Has a decent turn of speed at the end of races and if able to hold up for that can slingshot them all and win.
Selections: 8-2-5-3-4

Cambridge Harness Race 3
1 Mary Magdalene

Six starts to the races for six handy enough runs brings Mary Magdalene into the picture here tonight, especially from a good inside draw. Should be able to punch out early and hold a forward position and from there looks a pretty strong chance of success.
Selections: 1-4-5-10-3

Cambridge Harness Race 4
5 Eyes To Heaven

Newcomer to the Nicky Chilcott barn from Canterbury and looked pretty sharp and ready when winning a workout last week here on the track. Always had a bit of ability and should find a nice happy space in the Waikato with plenty of wins in store.
Selections: 5-1-9-2-8

Cambridge Harness Race 5
1 Trifolium

Interesting runner in that there's always appeared to be plenty of ability there and now resides on the beach with Bernie Hackett and Michelle Wallis. Change in scenery might just be the trick required to recapture the best form and can win this first up from the new barn.
Selections: 1-5-3-8-4

Cambridge Harness Race 6
2 Colonel Lincoln

Unsighted since March of last year, but well bred pacer Colonel Lincoln will be on the radar of plenty of punters here in a fresh state. Second behind Matai Phil in a workout earlier this month to prepare and looks set to resume in fine fashion.
Selections: 2-1-6-4-5

Cambridge Harness Race 7
2 Katies Princess

There's been some handy runs in recent weeks from Katies Princess and she should relish this opportunity here tonight from an inside draw in a very wide open field. Looks capable of dominating from the outset and if able to set own terms, will take plenty of catching late.
Selections: 2-5-3-4-7

Cambridge Harness Race 8
4 Romeo Foxtrot
Tip of The Day

Dropping back from some strong Auckland fields in recent weeks where there's been placings behind Kaipaki Jack and Taylad To Use, Romeo Foxtrot should relish this opportunity tonight. Good manners, top driver and a small field make him very hard to beat.
Selections: 4-1-6-5-2
