Mi Bella (#5) makes her South Island debut for Anna Furlong. She resumes without a public trial, which is typical for her. Her only prior polytrack outing was excellent, and she finds a very winnable race to kick off in the south.

Andina (#10) produced an encouraging effort when ridden off the speed last start. From the inside draw she maps to trail the early pace if ridden neutrally early, and Kylie Williams staying aboard is a positive. On the quick backup, she looks a leading contender.

1 Delmonico
Delmonico (#1) was last home of five here last start, but it was a quality line-up and they couldn't have got home much quicker on the clock. Drops back in company for this, he can settle back from a middle draw and finish over the top of them late.

2 Givealittle
Givealittle (#2) has been thriving on the synthetic, with her last two efforts particularly strong when ridden off the speed. She'll likely be buried back on the fence from the inside alley, but a repeat of her recent runs has her right in the finish again with even luck in running.

TIP OF THE DAY
Quisiera (#9) has been game in defeat at her last two starts, finishing 2nd each time. On the quick turnaround she gets Tina Comignaghi again and maps to roll forward. From there she looks the one they'll all have to catch.

7 Elegant Explosive
Elegant Explosive (#7) didn't fire on turf last start but her synthetic form prior was sound. With Yogesh Atchamah's claim she comes in light and should look to push forward from the wider draw. She's a genuine each way chance at the price.

4 Jing Jing
Jing Jing (#4) was a pass mark last start, where she never balanced up in clear air until the race was all but over. From the inside draw she should land midfield with cover, and with an uninterrupted run this time, she can figure at odds.
