A string of really strong runs in Friday night Addington maidens looks good reading for this from 6 Longview Tui. She's knocking on the door and looking more and more likely. Finds a good race today and just needs to be handy enough turning for home to make it happen.

7 Sadie showed a real aversion to the Motukarara crossing last Sunday when on debut and heavily supported. Trial form leading into that had been excellent though and gets a shot to atone here in a wide open maiden field. Might be just a little too good for them on what we've seen.

Better off for the fresh up run and a handy performer at the trials midweek, 7 Call Dudley should put the hoof in the till this week. Good wee trotting race with plenty of chances but he's a pretty rounded trotter with his fair share of ability and looks good enough to win.

Unsighted at the races since joining in and winning for fun at Oamaru, 3 Sans Repos returns today and finds another really nice race. High speed pacer who can sit off the tempo and join in late with a big burst, just needs a little bit of luck to make it happen.

1 Freeze Frame
Consistent without winning would be the best way to describe 1 Freeze Frame's early campaign. Always fantastic but generally found one better. Perhaps not today. Returns and lands the ace draw in a big two-year-old field so won't have to cover any extra ground and can rip around Timaru and break through.

TIP OF THE DAY
Starting to look more and more like the 5 Clonakilty of old especially in two really good efforts behind Scarlett's Legacy recently. Big robust pacer who should relish Timaru and if he can get onto the speed early and control things then they'll need to be really good to stop him.

Four starts back from a spell for 1 Moonlite Blood have returned four great performances. A pacer on the rise. Has been set for this and looks well placed off the front tape. High speed pacer who has options but if anywhere close to them turning for home becomes the horse they all need to beat.

This looks just the sort of race that you'd expect 8 Buffy Northstains to step up in and deliver a strong performance. A well seasoned trotter who is racing really well and consistently, she just needs to get the start right and land a forward position and then, from there, should be a strong each way play.
