Only first up out of the maiden grade but the speed 2 Crystal showed to win that race would suggest that the next grade up isn't going to worry her too much either. Lobs a beautiful draw to work from and shouldn't be too far off the pace allowing her time to unleash late on them at a nice price.

2 Jazzy's Upstart
Not a lot of luck for 2 Jazzy's Upstart at Motukarara last time out. Taking a line out of her excellent second behind Beachbreak at Oamaru three starts back today and if she was to run anywhere near up to that then she'd be hard to beat here. Best driven cold, but look for her late.

TIP OF THE DAY
Very capable trotting mare 7 Fear And Faith will have taken great benefit out of her fresh up run here in a good field two weeks ago. She's a quality trotter at her best and even slightly below her best should have too much speed for this field.

Emerged from well back last week to keep the hook baited but surely this week pans out well for 1 Hi Life. Needs things too to help win a race, but should land trail here today early and from there be getting a sweet trip just off the speed to unleash late from. Her chance.

9 Courage Reactor
A couple of sharp recent runs from 9 Courage Reactor have the confidence levels sky high and while up against a big field today, it isn't one with great depth and wouldn't have to go much better to be a realistic winning chance. Blair Orange in the bike certainly helps.

Never got out of second gear when winning here last week and it's hard to see how 11 Buffy Northstains can't repeat the dose. Better credentials than everything in this field and can make her own luck if needed but dangerous off the back of a good tempo.

1 Betterthandiva
Softened up at a couple of crucial moments two weeks ago, 1 Betterthandiva was brave to hold on for second. With her early speed she lands a sweet draw here and if able to punch out and hold up then she should take some catching with her own terms in front.

6 Dover Terrace
Pretty hard to ignore than market move for 6 Dover Terrace here. $15 on opening and smashed almost immediately. Has been domiciled in a new stable and has always looked capable of winning a maiden race. First up for a long time but money suggests that the return is set to be a winning one.
