Nice introduction to the racing game from 7 Antisocial with both runs having plenty of merit. No qualms with the grass tracks and meets a low-key maiden field which gives plenty of options. On what we've seen so far should really be dominating this field today.

Knocking on the door of a maiden victory and 6 Star From Heaven should relish this chance today. Finds the right kind of race to make a serious play and if able to land on the speed again then can dictate things and look to run them off their feet late.

Mr Consistent of the pacing ranks at the moment, 7 Swift Guy doesn't seem to know how to run a bad race. Puts himself onto the speed with good manners and looks to grind his way to victory from there. Will do the same again today and might be able to hold them all at bay too.

A grass track winner a couple of starts back, 17 Miles Away continues to race very well. Big field to get around here but he's going good enough to make his own luck and still be a major contender. Manners are very good which is a big bonus and expecting another good run.

8 Festus Haggen
With the benefit of a run under the belt the consistent 8 Festus Haggen looks well placed here. Very quick away from the tapes so expect him to land on the speed and keep pressing from there. Has shown enough in workouts and trials to suggest he can win this at a nice price.

Ranged up to win at Motukarara, but just didn't quite let down as sharp as expected did 12 Flying Bird. That said, a strong effort all the same. This field looks a little easier today too so even from the second row draw should be stalking and then unleashing on them late.

Never really got a chance to get into things at Motukarara when fresh up did 16 Sideshow Bruce but he will have taken great benefit from that run. He's the best horse in here by a wee way and if he gets a little closer to them this week then should deliver.

Fantastic in her last two runs, 8 Mavis Jones slides in here beautifully and a great quote. She was very good in the Methven wet and then backed it up with a strong run at Addington last week. Might get onto the speed a little easier here and looks a strong each way chance.

No shame in the last couple of efforts for 10 Lavra Rose in rich Addington company. She's done well in both. Nice wee slide back for her here today onto the grass again. Can stalk and then look to unleash on them late with her strong turn of foot.
