Enjoying a great campaign so far this time in 10 It's Tough is out for another penalty free win and looks so well placed too. Has been racing in far stronger company and is capable of making his own luck in races. Look for him to get on the speed at some point and out-tough his rivals.

Often her own worst enemy, 3 What The Bell will make a mistake in races but still run them out strong. Kaikoura might suit her as her mind should be on the job throughout and if she brings her A Game to this assignment it'd be no surprise to see her winning.

Lovely efforts of late on the grass from 6 Flying Bird and is building nicely towards a win. Finds a good race today and with a key draw advantage over some rivals might look to take bad luck out of the equation and really try own this race from the outset.

Nice progression through the opening runs since a spell from 7 Zoltan Boscik and today might be the day he really puts the hand up and delivers. More speed than most in here and generally brings excellent manners to the party as well. Best with a sit but might be able to lead these a merry chase.

Desperately unlucky at Addington last week after getting push down onto the markers, 3 The Lazarus Effect gets a chance to atone. Good manners and a front line draw could be key to him getting in front and making his rivals chase. Very talented horse who has to go close with the way this maps.

Not much went to plan in the Canterbury Park Cup for 12 Oscar Bonavena, but he fought bravely to the line after doing it tough. Can chase them here and probably have enough speed to reel them in late, just won't want to be too far off them turning for home.

Brave effort from 4 Akuta in the Ashburton Flying Stakes after a couple of rough weeks. He'll improve heaps off of that run and wouldn't have to go much better here to put them to the sword over the last 800m and win it. Heading back in the right direction and hard to topple.

TIP OF THE DAY
Out of the Sophomore Classic and back into a stand, 3 Zoom X looks really well placed here. Strong Timaru win two starts back and if he can replicate that he'd give this field plenty to think about in the last race of the day with his ability.
