Off the back of a cracking third first up behind Double Parked, St John Eight (1) didn't receive all favours in the Metro Final last week at Alexandra Park. Third up here and dropping well back in grade and with the aid of the inside draw, the hopes tonight look very bright and should prove hard to beat.

Fresh up for the Wallis/Hackett barn tonight, Light O Love (1) is the intrigue runner here. Has always had a bit of ability and the beach training set up may really suit. Two workouts to prepare for this and should hit the ground running. With manners looks a decent each way chance at a nice price.

A Cambridge debut tonight for Bruntwood Brigade (3) after a long run of races at Alexandra Park. Always just does enough to keep you interested but has been knocking around in some strong fields and should appreciate this drop back in grade. Nice chance if able to find the right kind of run.

It hasn't quite been the return to racing most would have expected from Viscount Mackendon (5) but there's a great opportunity to turn that all around here tonight. Has more ability than most in this field and if able to bring the manners and get the right kind of run would have to go close to winning here.

TIP OF THE DAY
Brilliant effort for third in the Metro Final last week at Alexandra Park by Mick Konstantin (1) and lands the perfect draw here. Has gate speed and likes to bowl along in front so if he buzzes out and leads them up he's going to take plenty of catching around Cambridge.

Unable to grab a win, but still consistent as ever of late, Pretty In Pink (6) finds a winnable race for herself tonight. A wee drop back on some of the more recent line ups she's been in and generally the manners are exemplary which will be half the battle. Any luck and she's well in play.

3 Melton Mogul
Hasn't put a foot wrong since arriving in the north and tonight looks a great chance to Melton Mogul (3) to grab another victory. Grabs Blair Orange in the bike too which is a big plus and from the good draw should be in all the right places throughout from which to unleash an attack.
