First up today since May, Dame West (5) comes into the return off the back of a slick enough trial victory which looks to have her well primed for a strong return. Wasn't far away in behind some pretty handy types last campaign and finds a good race here.

Exceptional manners give Superfast Lady (3) the big tick here. She's been really good over the past couple of months running multiple placings behind some handy enough types and meets a wide open trotting maiden field today. Should trot onto the speed and be hard to beat.

3 The Greek Freak
Stepping back down from taking on the likes of Missile and Axel Rose in the past two runs, The Greek Freak (3) should find winning form today. Is going very good races in much better fields than this and with good manners will be on the speed and out of trouble.

5 Always B Royal
With the benefit of a run under the belt, Always B Royal (5) will be a strong prospect in this line up today. She found the line well on that occasion and it was a strong field than what is faced today. Small field suits and look for her to be charging late.

3 Miki Skipper
Since arriving in the south, Miki Skipper (3) has continued the strong run of form with multiple placings in behind nice types. Chased hard against Franco Seb on Sunday but gets a chance to turn the bridesmaid tag into a winning one here today.

5 Van Liberty
A bit in and out at times, Van Liberty (5) has the motor to win a race like this. Taking a line from the good second two starts back, that would be good enough to win a race like this. Handy draw to work from and if able to find a good spot looks a strong each way chance.

5 Mr Cash Man
Took part in a frenetic South Of The Waitaki race on Show Day and there was plenty of pressure coming Mr Cash Man's (5) way. Didn't throw it in and in what looks an easier assignment today can turn in a repeat of the win two starts back.

3 Majesdix
Cup Week form to the fore here with Majesdix (3) who chased hard behind Judy J on Cup Day for second. That looks really strong for this and if able to trot into a good position early will be well on the way to returning to the winners' circle here.

9 Dragon Power
A little luck required from the inside of the second row early but the form of Dragon Power (9) should stack up pretty well here. Handy enough performer in this grade and the fourth behind Bowlem Over was good on Sunday. A strong chance.
