The inside draw gives Victorian Soho Americano the chance to repel the challenge of two smart Kiwi fillies in the Redcliffe Oaks on Saturday night.
The Group 3 event is one of the more intriguing on the card from a Constellations carnival viewpoint with the race set to influence betting on the Queensland Oaks.
The marble has fallen perfectly for Soho Americano after she overcame a much wider barrier for an Albion Park win last week.
That was her first outing for six weeks following a NSW Oaks second so she should be improved and she is an ultra consistent filly who hasn't missed a place at this distance.
Captains Mistress looks set to be one the big players in the Constellations having joined Grant Dixon with strong New Zealand form behind her.
She didn't have the same luck at the barrier draw and will start from wide on the second row but has come from that line in winning her last two starts, claiming the Group 1 NZ Sires Stakes Final at Alexandra Park before proving a class above her rivals in her first hitout for Dixon.
She is good enough to threaten with a touch of luck.
Neverbe Without You is the other Kiwi in the race and while easing in early betting for what is her Australian debut she draws well so is worth keeping safe.
The race has plenty of depth including NSW Oaks winner Cool And Classy and placegetter Sugar Pie Honey along with the progressive Arrive who comes in off a hat trick of wins.

Early betting suggests the Redcliffe Derby could be a race in two and New Zealand also plays a very strong hand with favourite Rubira.
The smart Kiwi stretched his winning streak to four when winning his local debut at Albion Park and as that was his first start for three months it should have improved him.
He beat Saturday's main rival Fate Awaits there and the ace draw gives him the chance to do it again.
Fate Awaits drew wide and worked last start so did well to stick on and finish 3.8m behind Rubira. That followed a fresh win and he draws for a nice trail so looks very dangerous.
Path To Greatness is a potential challenger having completed a winning hat trick when beating older rivals in the Queensland Sun last time.
He draws deeper but scored easily from this barrier prior and is two from two at Redcliffe while Sweet On Lexy steps up in grade off an easy last-start win but a low draw should see him competitive again.
Last year's winner Aroda brings good form into his attempt to go back-to-back in the Redcliffe Gold Cup having galloped away from the start but recovered to lead and win the Flashing Red at Albion Park last start.
He goes back 10m but was only 3m behind Leap To Fame when off the 20m mark in his prior outing.
His victory in this race last year was his last visit to Redcliffe and took his record at the circuit to four from six so he must rate highly again.
Regazzo Di Tilly was rewarded for his recent consistency when winning two back at Albion Park then performed well behind Aroda last time, racing wide in the latter stages for a 3m third in the Flashing Red.
He meets that rival better at the handicap so is a big chance to turn the tables as is Free Thinker who gave a big sight from this same starting position when edged out narrowly by Aroda in the Flashing Red.
