St Arnaud Harness - Saturday, 8 November

Race 1      JILLIBY UTAH
3/7/5/6

•   Led early, took cover at the 900m and came to the outside at the 600m when a brave second at Charlton
•   Lightly raced colt, which has improved with every start
•   Likely to try and lead all of the way from his good draw

Race 2      CARUSO STAR
5/8/3/10

•   Raced without cover throughout when a narrow second at Kilmore last outing
•   Strong pacer, which has been placed in 7 of his 12 starts for the season
•   Gains a position on the front row with the aid of a concession claim

Race 3      ALWAYS ALFIE
7/4/10/3

•   Commences from a handicap of 10m but he is very quick away and is likely to gain a prominent position early
•   Won at his only St Arnaud race start previously
•    Work to the lead from the handicap of 20m when a game second at Shepparton two starts ago

Race 4      ICANMOTOR
7/6/5/2

•   Struck peak form having been placed at his past 6 starts and having won 3 of his last 4 attempts
•   Raced outside of the leader throughout when a big winner at Charlton last outing
•   Versatile pacer that is capable of overcoming the wide draw

Race 5      SIR NIPPA
7/5/12/8

•   Has never raced better having been placed at his past 8 attempts with 5 victories
•   Settled in a rearward position and finished off fast to win clearly at Charlton last time out
•   Usually performs best when he is close to the pace but showed last week that he can win from anywhere in the field

Race 6      CHAMPAGNE CHARLEY
7/5/9/12

•   Has returned from a spell in peak form having remained undefeated in two attempts
•   Commenced from the handicap of 50m and kept on chasing when a big winner at Shepparton last outing
•   This is a harder race but he moves from the handicap of 50m to being on the front line so he must be respected

Race 7      INTO THE HARKNESS
7/2/8/3

•   Has only missed a place once in seven starts for the season
•   Won on this track at the corresponding meeting last year
•   Finished well for second in a sharp mile rate of 1.55.6 last outing

Race 8      DIAMOND ECLIPSE
12/7/1/5

•   Has been racing in great form at Metropolitan level and won in a mile rate of 1.54.2 at Melton last week
•   Possesses a dynamic turn of speed and should be flying home at the end
•   Finished unplaced in the St Arnaud Cup last year and will be looking to atone

Race 9      IAMAWINGATE
1/6/10/12

•   Brilliant beginner that usually performs best when he can lead out then take cover
