Green Sense took her form to a new level with a battling victory in the six-furlong Group 2 Goffs Prix Robert Papin.

Trained in Ireland by Joseph O'Brien, who also enjoyed Group 2 victory when Al Riffa struck in the Michael John Kennedy Curragh Cup yesterday, Green Sense headed to France for the first time looking to bounce back from finishing thirteenth in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Despite racing keenly in the early stages, Green Sense found plenty in the final furlong, battling her way to the front late on under Maxime Guyon before fending off the challenge of Super Soldier by a neck. The front-running Tadej finished a neck further back in third in a race that was dominated by the English and Irish juveniles.

Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, Maxime Guyon said: "She was really good and very easy to ride.

"She's improving and showed a good turn of foot. We didn't know about the track because the ground is a little bit soft today, but she handled it.

"I think she can improve further after this race. She looks really good and for me, she could maybe win a Group 1. I hope so for connections. I'm really happy for Joseph (O'Brien) and he is a good trainer."

Green Sense, who carries the famous double green of Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, cost € 90,000 from the Goffs 2024 Orby Book 1 Sale and is a half-sister to the four-time winner K Club.
