Saturday’s French banker of the day is an experienced veteran who remains unexposed in the conditions…
Deauville – R7 – Prix de Saint-Wanderille
- Appeared revitalised by application of cheekpieces on last start
- Unexposed tackling the trip
The first-time application of headgear appeared to revitalise Jarry Lord when he recorded his third career win in a course and distance handicap on 10 August. The five-year-old sat near the rear of the field and showed a strong turn of foot in the closing stages to record a comfortable victory – a step up on any previous form demonstrated in 2025. In nineteen starts, he's only raced twice over the distance (with one success) and remains relatively unexposed in this sphere. Whilst at a career-high mark, he appears well-weighted in a competitive field and should go close for a yard with a 42% place strike rate from their last 50 runners.
