Sunday’s French banker of the day is a Godolphin filly looking for well-deserved Black Type…
My Highness (Andre Fabré/Cristian Demuro)
Deauville – R2 – Prix du Calvados
- Appeared revitalised by application of cheekpieces on last start
- Unexposed tackling the trip
With strong opposition from the UK in the Prix du Calvados, the Godolphin-owned My Highness could be relatively forgotten in the market against Group-standard fillies like Fitzella. Although Fitzella makes the obvious appeal on paper, Fabré's My Highness has been brought along slowly and her only defeat came on debut behind the exciting Green Spirit, who boosted the form with her own Group 3 success in the Prix Six Perfections. The daughter of Ghaiyyath has subsequently recorded two wins as favourite and it appears time for the likeable filly to achieve her own Black Type success. She has an easy-going way of racing and should sit midfield in a strongly-run race, with Fitzella likely to lead the way.
