Monday’s French banker of the day is a two-year-old colt who produced another impressive result at Bordeaux on his latest start...
Centauri (Christophe Ferland/Maxime Guyon)
Bordeaux – R7 – Prix François Vergez
- Colt on an upward trajectory
- Notable breeding lines
- Form from debut race working out well
Centauri looks a potential star for the future after a successful debut performance at La Teste last time.
The two-year-old Sea The Stars colt made all to score impressively by two lengths in an eye-catching result for leading connections.
Form from that race has begun to work as the runner-up, Magda, went to win on Thursday at Marseille-Borely, winning narrowly by a short-head.
Breeding-wise, he's by leading sire Sea The Stars and is out of French-trained mare Blarney Stone who is a half-sister to Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winner Beauty Parlour. The colt is also a half-brother to Listed Prix des Tourelles winner Muette and Listed Grand Prix de Bordeaux winner Sans Voix, both who wore the famous blue and white Wertheimer silks.
