As the jumps season looms ever closer, eyes are being drawn to the early meets at Auteuil for some potential French superstars, or even some new recruits for the UK/IRE scene.

One who definitely has made an impression is Mickael Seror's Lord Raffles, who won from the front by eight lengths on debut at Strasbourg 17 days ago.

Already a winner on the flat at Le Lion d'Angers, Lord Raffles took to hurdling like a duck to wate, jumping with fluency whilst displaying plenty of stamina to score over this distance.

Now facing a stiffer test up in class and racing at Auteuil for the first time, Lord Raffles could improve further to establish himself as a possible contender for the Prix Renaud du Vivier in November.
