Bedtime Story (Aidan O'Brien / Christophe Soumillon)
Longchamp – Race 7 - Group 1 Qatar Prix de Royallieu
· Runner-up in this year's Group 1 Prix de Diane
· Jockey and trainer in form and tackles this longer distance for the first time
A four-time winning filly, Bedtime Story has run well in defeat on all her outings this year and looks to have both the class and ability to bounce back to winning ways in the Qatar Prix de Royallieu.
Trained by Aidan O'Brien for Coolmore, she won her first four career starts in excellent style, including a memorable nine and a half-length victory in the Listed Chesham Stakes at the 2024 Royal Ascot meeting.
Bedtime Story was by no means disgraced on her final outing of last year when a close fifth in the mile Group 1 Qatar Prix Marcel Boussac at this fixture twelve months ago.
The daughter of Frankel has not won in 2025, but she has shown some classy form in defeat, finishing second in the ten-furlong Group 1 Prix de Diane (French Oaks) at Chantilly in June. The third that day, Cankoura has won a Group 3 since to boost the form, while Bedtime Story produced another smart run at the Parisian venue last month, finishing third when stepping up in trip for the Group 1 Qatar Prix Vermeille over a mile and a quarter.
She is proven in the grade and open to further progress attempting this trip of one-mile six-furlong for the first time.
Christophe Soumillon takes the ride, and she could still have more to offer over staying trips.
