Tuesday’s French banker of the day is a talented gelding looking to back up a solid recent course effort.

Strasbourg – Race 4 - Grand Prix des Provinces - Prix André Baboin
Pleaseman – (Mme Conny Whitfield/Aurélien Lemaitre)
A four-time winner from nineteen starts, Pleaseman heads back to Strasbourg following a rock-solid effort having finished just half a length behind the smart Birre Castle when second in the Listed Grand Prix Région Grand Est in September.
That form looks useful for the level given the fact that the winner, who clearly has plenty of ability and almost caused an almighty shock when acting as a pacemaker in the Juddmonte International earlier in the season, has since followed up in the Listed Grand Prix de Nantes.
Conny Whitfield's five-year-old is two from three at this track and won his sole outing over the course and distance, so it's no shock to see him back here, while you'd suspect connections to have had this race in mind since his latest effort.
He handles these expected conditions and with plenty of course experience onside, he gets the vote go one spot better this time around.
