2025 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races set to crown turf world champions

Hong Kong’s annual international racing extravaganza, the 2025 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (HKIR) will be staged at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday (14 December).

Recognised as the 'Turf World Championships', LONGINES HKIR features elite overseas horses, competing alongside the finest Hong Kong-trained gallopers. With a record HK$130 million up for grabs, the event boasts 20 Group 1 winners vying for glory in four prestigious Group 1 races.

A designated 2025 LONGINES HKIR cap* will be given to attendees who arrive at Sha Tin or Happy Valley racecourses before 3.30pm on the day of the event. These caps are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

After the races, international pop group Now United will take the stage at Sha Tin in the Parade Ring to perform their biggest hits. Meanwhile, our jockeys will be giving away mini-horse plush toys to thank racegoers for their support. +

A showcase of global elite racehorses competing in four thrilling group 1 races
The 2025 LONGINES HKIR will feature a total of 10 races. Sha Tin and Happy Valley both open to the public at 10.25am, with the first race scheduled for 12.25pm. The four Group 1 highlights are:

·Race 4 – HK$26 million LONGINES Hong Kong Vase (2400m)
·Race 5 – HK$28 million LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint (1200m)
·Race 7 – HK$36 million LONGINES Hong Kong Mile (1600m)
·Race 8 – HK$40 million LONGINES Hong Kong Cup (2000m)

Star-studded opening performance by K-pop legend RAIN
The event kicks off with RAIN's performance in Sha Tin's Parade Ring at 11.10am. Building on last year's electrifying debut, RAIN will deliver a dynamic song-and-dance set that showcases his global superstar appeal. # Participating jockeys will also gather in the Parade Ring for the Opening Ceremony to meet racegoers after Race 2.

XTIE, the producer-songwriter will take the stage between races underneath Mezza One in the Public Betting Hall throughout the day at Sha Tin.

Sha Tin Racecourse Delights – win a Romantic Warrior horse plush
Racegoers can participate in the Sha Tin Racecourse Delights prize quiz. At 4.15pm, the first 500 participants submit correct answers can win a designated Romantic Warrior approximately 40cm Horse Plush. The 501st to 1000th participants will receive a designated Buy-1-Get-1-Free Booking Voucher at Champion Circle. ^

Champions Connection offers new Sha Tin arrival and customer experience
Champions Connection, the newly launched venue at Grandstand II, offers visitors an immersive experience. At Champions Connection, visitors can enjoy breathtaking digital displays showcasing the beauty of thoroughbred horses in their natural habitat, creating a visual and sensory experience. Among the must-visit photo hotspots are a lifelike Robotic Horse, interactive displays of legendary horses and a Mechanical Galloping Horse Sculpture. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of themed kiosks featuring authentic Hong Kong delicacies and beverages. As well, there's chance to participate in the "Craft & Champions Connection", where you can enjoy hands-on craft workshops with a racing twist.
