Busan Race 1: Class 6 (6f) Special Weight A / $32,000

Juvenile maidens with five of the ten racing for the first time. (6) FANTASTIC BLUE raced on pace in the second of his trials, crossing the line 1st in a decent time. Franco is engaged and if he can bring that form to the races, he has every chance. (3) NAMYANG RUBY is the best of the experienced ones, having run 3rd on debut in an all-filly maiden over this distance on September 29th when settling back and running on. She should have come on for that run and can improve here and will probably be the betting favourite. (9) FAIRY was no better than fair when 5th of nine in a pedestrian time on debut in October. She too can be expected to show some natural improvement. (5) GLOBAL HIGH and (7) SINCHEON FREEDOM are other newcomers who hinted at ability in their respective trials.

Selections   (6) Fantastic Blue (3) Namyang Ruby (9) Fairy (5) Global High
Next Best   7, 1
Fast Start   1, 4, 6, 7

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (6 1/2f) Special Weight A / $22,000

A full field of maiden fillies. (5) SHASHA ran 3rd on debut before following up with a 2nd place over 6f on October 4th when she led for most of the way around. She will be on pace again here and she can make it third time lucky. (7) LIME TREE also has a 2nd and a 3rd on her record and has finished no worse than fifth in four outings so far. She can settle behind the speed here and she has shown she has a good turn of foot in the final furlong. (4) RAON FLATTER was an improved 4th when ridden on pace for the first time on October 11th and with similar tactics today, can be in this a long way. (1) BLACK WAVE and (6) SIMON STAR among plenty of other placing chances.

Selections   (5) Shasha (7) Lime Tree (4) Raon Flatter (1) Black Wave
Next Best   6, 3
Fast Start   1, 3, 4, 5

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1M) Special Weight A / $22,000

Small field for this maiden. (8) GEUMA REJOICE finally showed some ability when sent up to this trip for the first time on October 25th and running 2nd. She was well beaten behind a good winner, but she won't need to improve much at all to win here. (4) BANGTANUI JEONSA has also shown some aptitude for this distance with a 3rd and a 2nd since being stepped up to it, most recently beating three of these on October 13th. (6) RAON THE LEGEND has been a little ordinary in her latest two, but she has a 3rd place to her name and the step up to the mile may suit. (5) USANG RYUNG and (2) FLYING ICE others who can be considered for at least the places.

Selections   (8) Geuma Rejoice (4) Bangtanui Jeonsa (6) Raon The Legend (5) Usang Ryung
Next Best   2, 3
Fast Start   3, 6, 7, 8

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1M) Handicap / $32,000

Competitive race. (7) BACKTOTHECHAMPION has two 3rd places from four attempts at this distance, most recently last time out on October 25th, when handy and running on. He carries his fair share of weight today but looks nicely in against this lot and he can win. (1) RICH TREE comes up in class having got his maiden win oat start number three on October 11th over 7f. He comes up in trip too, but his running style so far suggests that it can suit, and he can measure up here. The wildcard is (6) LEMON DRAGON. He is the only one in the field to have won at this distance which he did all the way back in March. He then ran twice more without distinction before a layoff, during which he was gelded. He didn't offer many clues in an October trial but Franco, who won on him, is up and he can be considered first-up here. (4) RED JASPER and (9) EONJENA YEONGUNG the others in the hunt.

Selections   (7) Backtothechampion (1) Rich Tree (6) Lemon Dragon (4) Red Jasper
Next Best   9, 8
Fast Start   1, 4, 5, 10

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (7f) Handicap / $32,000

(4) GALLOP QUEEN was a maiden winner at start number five over 6 1/2f on October 11th, racing handy for most of the way before striking the front just over a furlong out and running on. She comes up in class and marginally in distance here, but she has every chance of measuring up. (7) BIG MUSICAL STAR weakened having used up plenty of energy when tried at a mile last time out. Instead, we'll go on his effort two starts back, when 3rd over this class at 6 1/2f in a good time, and that puts him firmly in contention here. (1) GRAND DREAM comes in off a fair 4th over 7f, his second try at this class. He comes into a much better gate this time around and he can be going close. (6) AWESOME SUNRISE and (2) SEONGWON STAR are the other place chances.

Selections   (4) Gallop Queen (7) Big Musical Star (1) Grand Dream (6) Awesome Sunrise
Next Best   2, 8
Fast Start   1, 4, 5, 7

Busan Race 6: Class 4 (6f) Handicap / $43,000

(1) RUBY STONE won back on debut in January, and it is about time she won again. She hasn't much in the way of a break, but she rarely runs a bad race and looks to be working back to the winner's circle. She comes in off a 3rd place last time out on her only start at 7f when she led for much of the way, and under a light weight and drawn well, she can lead and go all the way. Debut-maker (8) OASIS POWER will attract plenty, not least because Moon Se-young, in town to ride Something Lost on Sunday, rides. The US import ran 2nd in his trial in a quick time and if he brings that form to the races, he won't be far away. Neither will the other first-timer, (4) GEUMA EMINENT. By Smiling Tiger, he was a little slower in his trial but showed plenty of promise and in this moderate company can go well first up. Returning to the experience, (5) GOLDEN POINT and (11) GLOBAL YEOJE look best of the rest.

Selections   (1) Ruby Stone (8) Oasis Power (4) Geuma Eminent (5) Golden Point
Next Best   11, 6
Fast Start   1, 2, 3, 8

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1 1/8M) Handicap / $43,000

(11) THUNDER GUY enters seeking a hat-trick, having won his latest two, most recently at the end of September at this class over 1M. He trialed up well in mid-October, and while he is up 4.5kg in the weights and up to 1 1/8M for the first time, he can maintain his excellent run here. (5) DOCTOR WICKY enters in fine form most recently having beaten plenty of these on his way to 3rd place at this class and distance on October 13th, racing on pace throughout. Once more, he carries his fair share of weight today, but he is no stranger to that, and he can win. Also tackling two turns for the first time is (3) GOTOTHEVALHALLA. He comes up in class too despite still being class 5 eligible and the light weight makes him look very nicely in here. (12) DAEJIUIYEOJEONSA and (1) WORLD POINT are others in the frame.

Selections   (11) Thunder Guy (5) Doctor Wicky (3) Gotothevalhalla (12) Daejiuiyeojeonsa
Next Best   1, 10
Fast Start   3, 5, 6, 11

Busan Race 8: Class 2 (6f) Handicap / $65,000

(4) POWER SOUND came up to this class on October 18th and ran a very close 2nd over 7f having led for much of the way around and beating three of today's rivals. He comes up 2kg in the weights, but he still doesn't carry much, and from a good draw, and with Munro on, he can win. (5) BIWOL returns from a five-month absence, but he had shown plenty of promise before the layoff, with two wins from five, and he looked very well when winning a trial two weeks ago. He can be competitive first-up. (12) CARPE BABEL races for the first time since running a smart 2nd at the end of September from a similarly wide draw as today. That was an uptick in form, and she can keep it going here. (3) YEONGGWANGUI TANK won that late September race, his second in a row. He has since run 5th behind Power Sound but should be a threat. (7) HANGANG SAVER and (9) GOLDEN PLUS others to consider.

Selections   (4) Power Sound (5) Biwol (12) Carpe Babel (7) Hangang Saver
Next Best   9, 1
Fast Start   3, 6, 9, 12
