Race Summary: An interesting race as a couple of disappointing fillies from the Western Cape have made the trip. TICKING BOMB is probably the best of them and could score trying this surface. One would have thought ELLORIX would be out the maiden ranks by now. She has an obvious winning chance. LADY LUCK only tired late on a soft track last time out and could do a lot better this time. CONSIGLIERE ran well on local debut but this does look a better field. STATESMAN has been unreliable but could get involved with the finish.

Race Summary: A weak race and we could get a competitive finish. LA PEQUENITA was not disgraced on local debut when third on this track and can do even better this time. PRINCESS VRITTI showed some improvement last time but needs to do a bit more to win. VINTAGE CRYSTAL showed improvement on local debut and has no issues with this surface so can contest the finish again. SEASIDE TRIP is holding form and is clearly not out of it. KAMARIA has improved with blinkers fitted and can fight out the finish again. SUNDROP ran well last week in open company and deserves respect for that run.

Race 3
Race Summary: There was not much between KING OF QUEEN and SPECMAGIC last time and there should not be much between them again. KING OF QUEEN is the more reliable of the two and he really does deserve a winning turn. MAYOR OF MERRIVALE needed his local debut but should do a lot better on this surface. MAGIC PRINCE makes his local debut and it could well be a winning one. POTENT CAPTAIN showed vast improvement last time out and his trainer is in very good form. STEALINGTHETHUNDER could show vast improvement.

Race 4
Race Summary: Trainer Gavin Smith holds a strong hand in this race. THE INKOSANA was a well-backed winner last week and the manner in which he won suggested he may well follow up. HEKNOWS was a wide-margin winner on this surface earlier this year and his last run is best ignored. HEAD GARDENER is not reliable but likes the Polytrack and can contest the finish again. EXHALE is unreliable but is also not out of it. SOFT TOUCH is in good form and could also get into the mix of things.

Race Summary: A very competitive-looking handicap and it may pay to go very wide in the exotics like the Pick 6. MISS SHAIVI looked an unlucky loser last time out when trying the Polytrack and could go one better this time. JADE'S CABERNEIGH is very consistent and clearly not out of it. THE LADY LOVE is in good shape and should contest the finish once again. BRETTY has improved with the aid of blinkers and would not be a surprise winner. FULL OF MAGIC makes her local debut after a change of trainer and could score. GLOBAL GODDESS is another to consider.

Race Summary: Another competitive race. Juvenile ANUSCHKA'S WORLD is not well drawn but was very speedy on this surface in the penultimate start and could make all. MARQUEZ won nicely on local debut when trying this surface and the runner-up has since won. NOTORIX is course and distance suited and will not go down without a fight. MR BODACIOUS is also course and distance suited and could contest the finish. HERECOMESTHERAIN makes a local debut after a change of trainer and could surprise carrying just 49.5kg.

Race Summary: AMERICAN DREAM has shown vast improvement this season and was not disgraced when fourth last time. He won two good races before that and can bounce back to score over a course and distance that suits him. LT ALEXANDER is hard to trust but has been good of late and can contest the finish again. GOLDEN LINK has shown promise as a juvenile and deserves respect taking on his elders. SI GIOCA likes the Polytrack and could earn some minor money. Stable companion ARTURO looked an unlucky loser last time out and could go one better. BENNELONG POINT is unreliable but could pop up in a place.

Race Summary: Trainer Alan Greeff has a strong hand in this race. CALL TO GLORY won impressively in the first run under his care and could well follow up. Juvenile filly and stable companion CAN'T SAY NO is improving and has already won twice on this surface so could be a danger. CATCH YOUR BREATH quickened nicely to win easily last time out and has wins in her but may need the turf and further to be seen at her very best. DEMIGOD is not an easy horse to wide but can contest the finish. MY AMI BEACH is unreliable but has a place chance. FAIRY TRIPP has a place chance.
