Race 1
Race Summary: RAFA BAY has room for further improvement. He ran an encouraging race with blinkers fitted last time and looks well placed. KING VISERYS came from far back last time. He has gone close on more than one occasion and may finally notch up his first win. MRS SHACKLETON showed good pace last time and won't need to improve much to run a fair race. WELSH STARLET and COTONOU have not shown much but look capable of earning.

Selections:
#5 Rafa Bay, #6 King Viserys, #2 Mrs Shackleton, #4 Welsh Starlet

Race 2
Race Summary: PENTOLINA has had her excuses and should have won by now. Richard Fourie knows her now and the pair should have every chance this time. Watch out for BELA VISTA who showed potential on debut and then fluffed her lines last time. This looks like a more suitable distance, but she has drawn wide along with PLAYFUL JOULES who also has stamina in her pedigree. WHITE WATERS wasn't far off PENTOLINA when they met and having drawn in pole position should run a bold race. HUNGA TONGA, COLD BREEZE and MY ONLY WEAKNESS could be dark horses over the distance.

Selections:
#5 Pentolina, #11 Bela Vista, #1 White Waters, #7 Hunga Tonga

Race 3
Race Summary: Trainer Brett Crawford has four of the seven carded to race. PORT LOUIS made no show last time but is a lot better than that. He was unlucky in his penultimate and is weighted to beat this field. Three-year-old INFRARED could upstage his stablemate as he has shown decent potential. He wasn't disgraced in the Grade 1 Cape Derby but may prefer the drop in distance. WE'RE JAMMING must have a win to come over this distance. He should be right there. ROCKPOOL and ZOOMIE are capable of better and must be watched.

Selections:
#4 Port Louis, #3 Infrared, #2 We'Re Jamming, #1 Rockpool

Race 4
Race Summary: All eyes will be on juvenile LANDOFTHERISINGSUN who caught the eye in his second start when beaten 0.80 lengths in open company. He should keep improving and must go further on pedigree. ARBITRATION is a well-bred son of Vercingetorix who turned in a fair performance on debut. He should also relish the distance. MR BELVEDERE has been knocking at the door and should give another good account of himself. COSMIC RHYTHM seems capable of better and now makes his debut for a new yard.

Selections:
#5 Landoftherisingsun, #4 Arbitration, #6 Mr Belvedere, #8 Cosmic Rhythm

Race 5
Race Summary: FAIRFIELD turned in a much better run after steady progress in earlier races. She is well bred and could confirm but this is a maiden handicap and it won't be easy. CHARLOTTE BRONTE has run some decent races as well and looks a big threat. She could prefer this faster run 1400m. JET TO THE SUN, UNITED WE STAND and JET GREEN have drawn wide but all must be respected. The former shows good pace and will overcome her gate so could dictate matters. BLIND FAITH is carrying a light weight and jumps from stall No 1 so should be involved.

Selections:
#7 Fairfield, #8 Charlotte Bronte, #9 Jet To The Sun, #11 Jet Green

Race 6
Race Summary: KELP FOREST has been at his best of late and enjoying the course and distance. He can make it three wins on the bounce. STEINBECK ran on well to finish second to the former, beaten 2.25 lengths, and is 3.5kg better off. He has drawn well this time and should make a race of it. UNICORN ALERT is best forgiven his last race over 1600m from a wide stall. He could get closer. RADICCHIO wasn't disgraced over further and is arguably better over this trip so must be respected. Watch out for INDECENT PROPOSAL who showed promise before being rested.

Selections:
#7 Kelp Forest, #3 Steinbeck, #11 Unicorn Alert, #4 Radicchio

Race 7
Race Summary: Top-class sprinters meet - nice race. FUTURE VARIETY hasn't shirked quick rises in class and almost won the Grade 2 Khaya Stable Diadem Stakes. If anywhere near his best after a rest, he could find the winners' enclosure. But QUESTIONING and MEU CAPITANO have had some solid battles and should hold the fitness advantage. QUESTIONING is weighted to get his head in front and would be deserving, but MEU CAPITANO keeps improving. Most of the balance have the class to earn.

Selections:
#8 Questioning, #6 Meu Capitano, #4 Future Variety, #1 Bereave

Race 8
Race Summary: DUMBLEDORE is knocking hard at the door. He should have every chance from gate No 2 for a stable in hot form. RIVERSTONE was improving nicely before a rest. He could be even better and demands the utmost respect. GIMMELIGHTNING won a nice race but then had things go wrong at the start last time. He nevertheless ran a fair race and must be taken seriously. ESCARPMENT is going about it the right way, having won his last two in a row, but rises in class and will need to produce more. SPEED RACER looks a bit better than his last run. PIROSHKA and NIGHT TIGER can also get involved.

Selections:
#2 Dumbledore, #11 Riverstone, #4 Gimmelightning, #3 Escarpment

Race 9
Race Summary: ROYAL LYTHAM won a nice race last time and with confidence boosted can follow up. She has gone up only two points in merit ratings but it may be enough to see IM THE BUZZ turn the form around after she ran a decent race from a wide starting stall last time. TRES CHIC gave signs she could be on the comeback trail last time. She needs to get the timing right. GRUE OF ICE and A THOUSAND KISSES show good pace and could be dangerous if the going is quick. The latter has drawn well. More can upset in the last race of the day.

Selections:
#2 Im The Buzz, #10 Royal Lytham, #5 Tres Chic, #9 Grue Of Ice

Best Win: #5 LANDOFTHERISINGSUN
Best Value Bet: #2 DUMBLEDORE
Best Longshot: #2 DUMBLEDORE
