Race 1
Race Summary: PRINCESS GOLDIE made a fair debut and is set to make good improvement. Some of her main rivals have drawn wide and she could take advantage. BLOWIN IN THE WIND has finished runner up in her last two starts and is looking to go one better. A wide draw could be the only worry. HOT LAVA has drawn widest but showed good speed last time and could get across early and keep going. ARE YOU SURE is better than her second try, has room for improvement and must be taken seriously.

Selections:
#6 Princess Goldie, #9 Are You Sure, #11 Hot Lava, #10 Blowin In The Wind

Race 2
Race Summary: STAR OF THE FUTURE showed fair potential when making his debut at the start of last season. He is lightly raced but retains ability and could run well for a stable in good form. BARRY DU GROND has fitness on his side and on the face of fair form shown to date could open his account. Highveld raider CHILI BOMB drops in trip but must be respected. MASTER DU ROUVRAY has come in for support and could show more after a rest. He is well bred. GRAND FORCE hasn't done badly and could show more in his third start.

Selections:
#1 Star Of The Future, #2 Barry Du Grond, #4 Grand Force, #5 Master Du Rouvray

Race 3
Race Summary: Not a lot of form to go with and many are open to improvement. GOT THE WORD needed his last start and should make good improvement. He runs for a yard in good form. The horse who could make big strides is CAPTAINSHIP who is well related and came in for support on debut. He was too far back on debut and even though drawn wide again could make a solid impression. WHEREVERILAYMYHAT's last run is best forgotten. His previous runs aren't bad, and he should be there from a decent gate.

Selections:
#10 Captainship, #5 Prince Florian, #4 Got The Word, #9 The Golden Goal

Race 4
Race Summary: There wasn't much separating ONE ARMED BANDIT and MEERKAT MOON when they met but the former was making his debut and could have a bit more scope. The pair should enjoy the extra and it could get close. Trainer Dean Kannemeyer has two in the race but FREDDY SLATER, who has drawn a bit wide, is the stable elect. He looked dangerous when stepped up in trip and may not mind a slight drop to 1400m. But the one who could be hard to catch is JP'S PALACE who was a good second behind a fair sort and could enjoy track and trip.

Selections:
#5 Jp's Palace, #9 Freddy Slater, #8 One Armed Bandit, #7 Meerkat Moon

Race 5
Race Summary: It has been a while since GOOD TRAVELLER last tasted success. He is capable and should have every chance from a decent barrier position. PRAY FOR RAIN is weighted to give him a hard time although the trip should better suit the former. COMMON GROUNDS has won from a rest and has also drawn well so comes into it. Watch out for NARINA TROGON who needed his last run after a break. He has the class and should enjoy a fast pace. CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL has a bit to do with a big weight and despite the widest stall has a say. MR MASTER STARTER rates a dark horse.

Selections:
#2 Good Traveller, #5 Pray For Rain, #3 Common Grounds, #1 Narina Trogon

Race 6
Race Summary: QUASIFORSURE is best weighted in this Pinnacle Stakes, and it could be the race that finally sees him come back to his best. He has won well from a wide gate previously. AFRICAN SKYLINE proved no threat on the poly last time but ran a fair race on the turf prior. He carries a light weight and must be respected. TREAD SWIFTLY has run some decent races at this course and gave signs he could be dangerous in the right race. He jumps from gate No 1. COIN SPINNER found one better in PROUD MASTER who goes for a hat-trick. The former has drawn wide while the latter needs to confirm superiority on the turf.

Selections:
#3 African Skyline, #1 Tread Swiftly, #12 Quasiforsure, #11 Coin Spinner

Race 7
Race Summary: Good field for the Beach Beauty Mile. SPIRIT OF LEVANA wasn't disgraced in finishing fifth in the Grade 1 Thekwini Stakes at the end of the season. If not in need of the run she could show her class. CARE FORGOT is improving nicely. She has won at different tracks and over different distances and could be up to the task. But she too races after a rest. Mike de Kock-trained debut winner DESTINY OF FIRE could be anything over the distance. She won a competitive race on debut and could be a nice sort in the making. SAFE AND SOUND and THE GHOST aren't without chances either.

Selections:
#3 Spirit Of Levana, #2 Care Forgot, #4 Destiny Of Fire, #1 Safe And Sound

Race 8
Race Summary: Trainer Gareth van Zyl holds a strong hand with WICCAN WARRIOR and GOLDEN PEACE. The former has been in good form and should go close over a track and trip he enjoys. The latter won a cracker last time and had his stablemate well beaten. But it is competitive. EL DANTE is a specialist who can get away if allowed to. SELUKWE won his last in good style and should have no excuses from gate No 1. SPELLING BEE is knocking hard but has drawn widest. He could get the race run to suit. KITCHAKAL may suddenly show his best form. TYRCONNELL has some fair Highveld form.

Selections:
#2 Wiccan Warrior, #8 Golden Peace, #1 Selukwe, #11 Spelling Bee

Race 9
Race Summary: WARRIOR ROYALE is going about it the right way. She was denied only 0.50 lengths in her second start and rates the one to peg back from gate No 2. Stablemate TWILIGHT BAY has also drawn well and should be right there on form. FLYING HAFLA, who could be anything after showing fair potential on the Highveld, has drawn wide after a rest. GOT THE FEVER, OH MANDY and TERMINAL VELOCITY have room for improvement and need to be considered in exotic bet calculations.

Selections:
#2 Warrior Royale, #8 Flying Hafla, #5 Terminal Velocity, #3 Twilight Bay

Best Win: #6 PRINCESS GOLDIE
Best Value Bet: #3 AFRICAN SKYLINE
Best Longshot: #3 AFRICAN SKYLINE
