Race 1
Race Summary: PANNING GOLD ran below par last time but was found to be not striding freely and it was his second run after a rest. He is overdue to open his account. YOJIMBO stayed on in his second start and could be looking for the distance. He has been gelded and can make good improvement. CLIFFIE CLAVIN hasn't found much in the finish of his last two but could improve with a change of tactics. SPLASHLANDING should be looking for the distance on pedigree. THE MERCIFUL and HEROIC ACT can get into the money as well.

Selections:
#9 Yojimbo, #4 Panning Gold, #5 Cliffie Clavin, #7 Splashlanding

Race 2
Race Summary: GUY ALEXANDER got his confidence boosted, showing good pace throughout to finally score. He looks well placed again and can follow up. FUTURE KNIGHT could be the dark horse. He is well related and has shown some potential. CALLABURN is holding form and having done well at this track must be respected. ZOOMBOMBER showed guts to win a nice race on the poly. He could be right there again. RAINY SEASON and CANTFOOLME need to find a bit more for their next wins.

Selections:
#2 Guy Alexander, #6 Future Knight, #1 Callaburn, #3 Zoombomber

Race 3
Race Summary: HAZLO GRANDE could be back to his best. He won a nice race over shorter at this venue last time and has won twice before over the extra so can do it again. BIRTHRIGHT was unlucky a few starts back and didn't disgrace himself in a top division race thereafter. He could get back to winning ways. EIGER SANCTION is on a roll having won three in a row but has a prior engagement and that run needs to be checked before making a final assessment of his chances. DJ JUNIOR and EIFFEL TOWER (prior engagement) have been turning in decent work and could be in the firing line.

Selections:
#6 Hazlo Grande, #2 Birthright, #4 Eiger Sanction, #5 Dj Junior

Race 4
Race Summary: BASINGSTOKE won a Workriders' Maiden but he won well and the form has been franked. He has the best of the draws but is trying the turn again. Watch out for JUST VAR who has shown potential in the past. His merit rating has dropped and being a son of Var could enjoy the drop to 1000m. TWICE AS WILD is a bit costly but is holding form and should notch up a win one of these days. PACIFIC ran well on handicap debut. He is dropping in class and could be dangerous. TIBETAN VOYAGE suddenly found her feet last time and is another that must be watched.

Selections:
#1 Basingstoke, #7 Just Var, #3 Pacific, #9 Twice As Wild

Race 5
Race Summary: ARILENA is unbeaten in her two local starts this season and could keep it that way. She shows good pace and could be hard to peg back again. KIA KAHA met a strong field in her first post-maiden outing and has room for good improvement. She could enjoy the track and trip. AUTUMN VAR became one paced over further but could step up on that now dropped in trip. ONE PARTY was never dangerous on handicap debut but looks better than that. She too may appreciate shorter for now. STROOPSOET won her maiden well but has drawn wide again.

Selections:
#3 Arilena, #5 Kia Kaha, #1 Autumn Var, #6 One Party

Race 6
Race Summary: Good strong competition expected in this MR 88 Divided Handicap. POBLANO showed good promise with a fluent debut win and could be anything. NETTLETON won as she liked and even if dropping in distance will still make it tough. Her rider is in hot form. BOSUM BUDDY has always looked a fair sort and punched above her weight when beaten only 1.90 lengths by well-weighted Mia Moo last time. She must be given every chance. GREEN FLASH was beaten as favourite in her last two and with KINDRED HEART should be in the fight for prize money.

Selections:
#8 Poblano, #1 Nettleton, #4 Bosum Buddy, #2 Green Flash

Race 7
Race Summary: ANDI'S GIRL did battle with two of trainer Joe Soma's top inmates in Back In Business and Fiery Pegasus. The form has been well franked and she could be the one to catch even though racing after a short break. She has drawn ideally in gate No 1. BLUE HORIZON wasn't beaten by far in the Betway Joburg Spring F&M Challenge and could show the strength of that form. She has a wide draw to contend with this time. ACROSS THE POND is a filly on the up. She can make it three in a row if not minding the drop in distance. DONNA MO (feature placed) and DUENNA must be taken seriously.

Selections:
#5 Andi's Girl, #4 Blue Horizon, #8 Across The Pond, #2 Donna Mo

Race 8
Race Summary: SAY IT LOUD didn't give of her best after a rest. It was, nevertheless, a fair run in a strong race and she should come on in leaps and bounds. Another three-year-old, FUTURE DATE, looks to have a fair chance. She ran well in her first post-maiden outing even though misbehaving at the start. SHAMPIMPI tired late after trying to go start to finish over further. This could be the right race for her. HONORABLE MEMBER was tried in a Grade 1 at the end of last season. She won her maiden in good style along with QUEEN OF LOVE and the pair must be watched in their first runs after a rest.

Selections:
#5 Say It Loud, #7 Future Date, #6 Shampimpi, #8 Honorable Member

Race 9
Race Summary: COURAGEOUS is holding form and did well to run third despite an injury last time. She could finally score at this track. TWOSTEP QUEEN is knocking hard at the door and she did impress the last time she raced at this track. But a wide draw could make it tough. OXALIS GOLD probably needed her last start. She should make good improvement. PRINCESS ILARIA doesn't know how to run a bad race and should be right there again. She has landed a plum gate for a change. More can earn.

Selections:
#1 Courageous, #2 Twostep Queen, #5 Oxalis Gold, #3 Princess Ilaria

Best Win: #5 SAY IT LOUD
Best Value Bet: #8 POBLANO
Best Longshot: #8 POBLANO
