CHABAL made a pleasing introduction and would have come on appreciably with the benefit of that experience so must be respected. Filly THE MIGHTIEST fits a similar profile and gets weight from her male rivals. Well-bred newcomers PRAETORIAN, INCLUSION and COUNT HUHTIKUU are worth a market check on debut.

Race Summary: KING OF VENUS outfought CHIEFTAIN to win a similar course-and-distance handicap on Monday - their participation must be monitored. Both will play leading roles if taking their places in the lineup. VAR PARK and KINDRED HEART are competitive off their current marks and should have a say. Returning VELDSKOEN is lightly raced and dangerous to discount on his reappearance. Improving BASINGSTOKE will be tested at this level but is not without a chance in her bid to complete the hat-trick. Consistent CAPTAIN EFFICIENT won't be far off the mark under just 53.5kg.

ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES and YAMADORI are hard-knockers who have the means to make their presence felt. Filly VIRGINIA BEACH is quick and likely to acquit herself competitively under 54kg.

BAKWENA is unexposed so open to improvement, and will fare better back against her own sex, having faced male opposition last time. Last-start winners FASTNET FILLY and KOMMETJIE STORM also have scope to improve and should be competitive after recent course-and-distance victories. Don't ignore MISS SCALETTA.

Race Summary: Cases can be made for most but it could pay to side with lightly raced SUKHUMVIT who, like most of Silvano's progeny, improve with age. She finished ahead of several re-opposing rivals when 2nd in an 1800m Grade 3 recently and should confirm her superiority off an unchanged mark and similar weight terms. LADY FALLON, JULIET TANGO, CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL, CAPE LIGHTS and DONNA MO are held on that form but could pose more of a threat over this shorter trip. KEY ELEMENT ran well in defeat in a 1450m Grade 2 last time and should enjoy this extended trip. ANDI'S GIRL is progressive and should have a say.

Last-start maiden winner PANNING GOLD opened his account over this distance on the Inside track and will appreciate switching to the Standside track with just 52kg to carry on handicap debut. Consistent CELTIC RUSH has the form and experience to acquit himself competitively too.

MISS LIA confirmed the promise she showed as a juvenile by winning on her seasonal comeback and this extended trip should unlock further improvement. GREENHOUSE fits a similar profile and should be competitive. Fellow 3yo PALACE DANCER and hard-knocker PRINCESS ILARIA have the form and experience to also get involved.
