Race 1
Race Summary: Mostly unraced juveniles and the betting market should be the best pointer. However, trainer Mike Miller has five out of the eight runners. HOLDS THE KEY could live up to his name as he was very speedy before getting caught by stablemate Siesta Sunset. With the run under his belt he should make amends. AMERICAN PROHAAH, BLACKJACK RANDALL and BELL OF ANGELUS have drawn well and need to be respected. One World gelding BRAND NEW WORLD has drawn toward the outside but could nevertheless prove dangerous.
Selections:
#5 Holds The Key, #4 Bell Of Angelus, #3 Blackjack Randall, #2 American Prohaah
Race 2
Race Summary: PAVED WITH GOLD is coming along with each start. Even though racing green he wasn't far off the winner last time and could open his account. AGRADO has stall No 1 and could be in the right place. He made good progress on debut but will need to break on terms. RAGNAR THE KING will need to also show more early speed. He is a steady improver and should go ground on pedigree. Watch out for PROMISE OF FIRE who had a learning experience on debut. She is well bred and could come on nicely. First-timers in the hunt.
Selections:
#1 Agrado, #7 Paved With Gold, #2 Ragnar The King, #8 Promise Of Fire
Race 3
Race Summary: MY BOY LOLLIPOP is back and having matured could finally get the job done. He has run some decent races and should be hard to peg back if ready after a rest. REAL WAR didn't enjoy the Polytrack in his last two starts. He could bounce back to form back on turf. CATAVAR, HIGHER LOVE and CRYSTAL CLEAR have improving to do to turn around the form with REAL WAR but all are open to improvement and must be considered for exotic bets. One World colt WORLD OF HOPE has a decent draw on debut and could be the first-timer to watch.
Selections:
#5 My Boy Lollipop, #8 Real War, #2 World Of Hope, #1 Catavar
Race 4
Race Summary: SHE'S A BOMBER was well backed and ran out an impressive winner last time. She is lightly raced but has obvious talent and could be one to follow. SASCHA'S DREAM didn't mind the switch to turf, making good progress before being hampered. She is also improving and could make a race of it if seeing out the extra. MYSTIQUE ROUGE caught the eye when 3.65 lengths behind SHE'S A BOMBER and is knocking at the door so should be right there. LADY IS A CHAMP runs on well on the poly and could get the race run to suit.
Selections:
#1 She's A Bomber, #4 Sascha's Dream, #6 Mystique Rouge, #2 Lady Is A Champ
Race 5
Race Summary: KITCHAKAL looks to have got going too late last time as was denied a short head by versatile gelding Diani. He is back at his best track now and could add that overdue win to his tally. But it is quite competitive. LINDBERGH made progress on his local debut and should enjoy the switch back to turf. He has drawn well along with BRISTOL HERCULES who is capable but may just need it after a rest. SELUKWE kept upping his game and looked headed for better things before he went on a break. He has drawn wide but is one to keep an eye on. DOWN BY THE RIVER and SPELLING BEE deserve respect too.
Selections:
#6 Kitchakal, #4 Lindbergh, #12 Selukwe, #10 Down By The River
Race 6
Race Summary: TYRCONNELL is holding his form well. He has become a bit one paced over 1600m and the drop to 1400m could do the trick with him. EL DANTE is a winner over the course and distance and the frontrunner is likely the one to catch even if racing after a rest. VOLDEMORT is in good nick and having won twice over the distance previously is not one to take lightly. BEACH PALACE came back to form recently. He has drawn well but will need to find a bit more for the win in this company. CAPSAICIN retains ability and could show more in his second start for his new yard.
Selections:
#2 Tyrconnell, #4 El Dante, #6 Voldemort, #7 Capsaicin
Race 7
Race Summary: Wide-open lower division handicap and it could pay to go wide in the exotics. WHEREVERILAYMYHAT is still learning what it is all about. If he keeps straight again at the business end he could follow up on his maiden win. EL DRAQUE hasn't been far off and should relish a return to his favourite course and distance. The pair have drawn towards the outside and STEVIE GEE, who won a nice race last time, could take advantage having drawn in gate No 1. NOW I GOT YOU and ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA both are capable of running well in this kind of race and rate the value options.
Selections:
#6 El Draque, #9 Whereverilaymyhat, #7 Now I Got You, #1 Stevie Gee
Race 8
Race Summary: TWENTY ONE MAY was ousted by a horse in red-hot form who he doesn't meet this time. He should have every chance. INTREPID, who finished a whisker behind, came out to win next time out beating IMMAH. Both need to be respected again. The latter has drawn toward the inside and could turn the form around with INTREPID. COLD SHINE looks a fair bit better than his recent form. He should go a lot better in this company. PROFESSOR LUPIN's last run is best ignored. He is quick and could step up on that performance. FUTURE FLO and NDAKA should be right there too.
Selections:
#9 Twenty One May, #7 Cold Shine, #2 Immah, #10 Professor Lupin
Best Win: #5 MY BOY LOLLIPOP
Best Value Bet: #6 EL DRAQUE
Best Longshot: #6 EL DRAQUE
