Katie Davis, Delphine Santiago and Joanna Mason have been announced as the final three rides for this year’s Shergar Cup, held at Ascot on 9 August.
The four teams – Asia, Rest Of The World, Europe and GB & Ireland – will include jockeys from ten different countries. It is the first year that female jockeys have been introduced into all teams, having previously been a stand-alone team.
Newly announced Kate Davis (US) will be competing in the Shergar Cup for the first time alongside Rest Of The World teammates Hugh Bowman (Australia) and Karis Teetan (Mauritius). She recently appeared in the Netflix series Race For The Crown and is an experienced member of international jockey challenge teams.
Davis said: "I am so excited to be riding in the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup this year. It was amazing to be invited and it should be a great buzz to ride on such a big day at Ascot, one of the most famous racecourses in the world.
"I think it's great what they have done with the teams this year and I can't wait to compete with Hugh and Karis in the Rest of the World team along with all the other jockeys from across the globe."
The French-based Delphine Santiago will be joined on the Europe team by Per-Anders Gråberg (Sweden) and Dario Di Tocco (Italy).
Santiago has achieved 47 victories from 375 rides during 2025, her most recent success coming aboard Neowise at Compiegne on 21 July.
Joanna Mason is set to join Hollie Doyle and Robbie Dolan in the Great Britain & Ireland team. She has achieved 36 wins during the current GB Flat season, working at a current strike rate of 9%.
In a first for the competition, the new Asia team will be represented by Suraj Narredu from India and Ryusei Sakai and Mirai Iwata (Japan).
