Reciprocal membership partnership announced between Jockey Club and Melbourne Racing Club

The Jockey Club have announced a new partnership with Melbourne Racing Club, allowing Jockey Club annual members complimentary admission to all MRC fixtures between 1 August 2025 and 31 December 2026.

The arrangement will allow annual members access to three of Victoria's leading racecourses - Caulfield, Mornington and Sandown – which are run by the MRC. It will also allow annual members of the MRC to access any fixtures in the UK that are held at the fifteen Jockey Club Racecourses. This will include, subject to availability, admission to some of the UK's leading events such as the Cheltenham Festival, the Grand National meeting and the Epsom Derby.

The relationship between the Jockey Club and the Melbourne Racing Club has already been successful. Winners of the Group Two Betfred Jockey Club Stakes and Group Two Princess of Wales's Stakes, held at Newmarket, currently earn ballot exemption into the Group 1 Caulfield Cup. Likewise, the winner of the Group 1 Oakfield Plate at Caulfield receive an invitation, free entry and travel incentive's for the Group 1 July Cup, held during the July Festival.

Matthew Woolston, Assistant Racing and International Director at The Jockey Club, said: "We are very proud to strengthen our association with the Melbourne Racing Club with this new reciprocal membership access agreement.

"This exciting new association will see anyone who is an Annual Member at any of our 15 racecourses gain complimentary admission to any MRC fixture, thereby offering the chance to watch and be at the heart of some of the very best racing in the world, including one of Australia's leading races - the Group One Caulfield Cup.

"MRC Annual Members will also gain complimentary admission to any of The Jockey Club's 320 annual fixtures, handing Australian fans the perfect opportunity to sample some of the UK's very best racing throughout the year."
