La Carriere Francis-Henri Graffard – Clement Lecoeuvre (3/1)

- Shaped as a surefire improver one debut

- Nicely-bred for a top stable in good form

- Drops in standard having contested a warm contest first time out

La Carriere may have only managed to beat one horse home on her debut at Deauville earlier in the month, but it wasn't an initial effort that was entirely devoid of promise, and this represents a drop in grade.

Trained by master handler Francis-Henri Graffard, La Carriere looked in need of the experience from the get-go at Deauville seventeen days ago, racing greenly and in snatches throughout the early stages.

Francis-Henri Graffard's filly still found herself a good few lengths off the rear of the pack as the field turned for home and although she didn't manage to get on terms with the principles, the penny did seem to drop in the closing stages as she picked up under hands and heels riding to beaten just five lengths crossing the line.

A nicely-bred daughter of No Nay Never, she's entitled to improve bundles for that initial experience and if doing so as expected, she could take some stopping now eased in standard for notable connections.
