R1 - Woburn Partners Nursery – (14:15)

Simon and Ed Crisford have been in good form of late and it wouldn't be at all surprising if Novelette can continue her progressive ways here. A winner of a novice event at Yarmouth earlier in the season, Novelette quickened up well to make a successful handicap debut over course and distance in July. That form took a nice boost when the runner-up, who is now rated 85, readily went one spot better at Windsor in a decent handicap sprint, while it is interesting connections had this well-bred daughter of Sioux Nation engaged in the Listed St Hugh's Stakes (ruled out due to dirty scope) at Newbury earlier this month. She's due to go up 2lb soon and can capitalise before that kicks in.

R2 - Killik & Co Handicap – (14:45)

Another competitive handicap over the five-furlong track. The speedy veteran Lipsink is drawn down on the rail in stall one and could take some pegging back. He still showed his customary early dash when runner-up over six at Newmarket last time out and the drop back to five ought to play to his strengths on the track. Mick Appleby's charge is now 3lb lower than when third over course and distance earlier in the season and he's dropped to below his last winning mark.

R3 - Chasemore Farm EBF Maiden Stakes – (15:15)

The Joker sets the standard but will need to settle better if he's to land this. He might be in the frame, but another who holds interesting credentials is the newcomer Beccadelli, who represents a stable in Charlie Appleby that tend to unleash some of their better prospects here. Closely related to the classy Group 1 scorer Old Persian, he's well-drawn in stall two and looks all set to make a pleasing debut for top connections.

R4 - Hwfa Williams - Founder Of Sandown Park Handicap – (15:50)

There's no doubt that Man Of La Mancha is becoming frustrating. That said, he brings the best recent form to the table and he's certainly more than capable of winning off this mark. He did well to finish as close as he did when fourth at Brighton last time out given, he blew the start, but it's the form of his two efforts here earlier in the season that really stand out. Ralph Beckett's charge finished an excellent third behind the now 106-rated Gladius, who has since landed a competitive Goodwood handicap and finished fourth in Group 3 company, back in June, while his runner-up effort a month later took a boost when the winner, Indalo, landed a Racing League handicap last night.

R5 - Franc James Ties Fillies' Handicap – (16:25)

The James Owen-trained Rogue Dynasty looks to have every chance in this three-year-olds handicap over the mile. The form of her runner-up effort at Yarmouth was well advertised when the winner followed up in fine style back at that venue, while the same can be said of her latest second at Newmarket, with the winner going in again since and the sixth-place finisher running well in a valuable York handicap last week. Stepping up to a mile should suit this daughter of Siyouni and she can help punters through leg five of the place pot.

R6 - National Racehorse Week Handicap – (16:58)

Keble Spirit didn't look entirely straightforward when third over course and distance 55 days ago, but it remained a promising effort, and he could easily have more to offer. The form has taken some knocks since, with the front two being well beaten on their next starts but he kept on nicely in the closing stages there and should do better having been subsequently gelded. A 3lb nudge up the weights will demand more with improvement expected, he should be thereabouts.
