R1 - William Hill Silver Cup Handicap – (13:30)

While any William Haggas runner sent to Beverley commands respect due to the Somerville Lodge handler's impeccable record there and current rich run of form, favourite Crown Of Oaks could be worth opposing in favour of last-time-out Ripon winner Spioradalta. The highly consistent and versatile Mark Walford-trained gelding placed attempting course and distance back in June before registering a visually striking victory most recently at Ripon – a win in which he made every yard of the running. With the yard operating at an impressive 42% strike rate in flat turf contests over the past two weeks and returning £31.25 to a £1 level stake, a 3lb rise in the weights could prove generous.

R2 - William Hill Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes – (14:05)

Former Group 1 winner Regional earns a confident vote in the feature race on the card. The classy seven-year-old has been thereabouts in more testing company than this recently, registering consecutive placings this season in the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Group 3 Hackwood Stakes at Newbury before underperforming somewhat when fourth in the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest on his first appearance across the channel at Deauville. Now facing the starter in Listed class for the first time in over two years, should the application of first-time blinkers prove no adversity, he rates the one to beat.

R3 - Napoleons Casino And Restaurant Hull EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes – (14:35)

A five-strong field leaves little scope for error with just two places on offer, and Roger Varian's Secret Error earns marginal preference with the yard having landed two of the last five renewals of this contest. Arriving on the back of consecutive third place finishes in two starts to date, the two-year-old filly shaped with potential debuting at York behind the subsequent Group 3-placed Aylin, before disappointing favourite backers on second outing at Thirsk. Respect ought to be afforded to If I Could Dream who has experience onside, and any market support for the two well-bred newcomers in the race should be noted.

R4 - Westwood Nursery – (15:07)

Harswell River was hampered late on when looking to have every chance of winning attempting course and distance on latest outing – a contest in which she ultimately placed third. Running off just 1lb higher with the first-time application of cheekpieces, the Roger Fell-trained two-year-old could be ideally placed to find an elusive first victory. Joanna Mason's engagement also warrants consideration – her track record at the Westwood is remarkable, returning an 18% strike rate and £34.31 to a £1 level stake if backing her mounts blind. Harswell River's frontrunning style also could prove advantageous at Beverley, in a contest where she is likely able to dictate proceedings from the front.

R5 - Tyre Scope Restricted Maiden Stakes - (15:42)

Just four runners going to post renders this a Win Only event for placepot punters, with Irish import Melvin Udall getting the nod to make a winning debut for Ed Walker. While unwanted in the market debuting at the Curragh and sent off at 80/1, the three-year-old performed creditably to stay on for fourth spot – just one-and-a-half lengths behind the winner. The form of that

maiden has since been franked, producing three subsequent winners. Having made sharp late headway on that occasion, the step up in trip should prove suitable.

R6 - Constant Security Handicap – (16:17)

King's Crown was a model of consistency prior to a disappointing last-start seventh on latest outing over this trip at Thirsk, having never been out of the placings and winning twice in his six previous starts. The five-year-old gelding was held up in the rear when seen most recently in a contest that favoured the frontrunners and certainly caught the eye making sharp headway in the final furlong. While obviously carrying risk due to Beverley's similar propensity for returning winners who favour the front end, he ought to be thereabouts carrying just 3lb more than a half-length success at Doncaster on penultimate outing.
