R1 - Betfair HPR Training Series Apprentice Handicap – (13:32)

Mission Possible ran in snatches when beaten five lengths into third in a Ffos Las novice event 38 days ago. William Haggas' well-bred Dubawi filly remains very much unexposed now stepping into handicap company off this lowly mark and ought to travel with more zest in the first-time blinkers. The long straight at Haydock will play to her strengths and with the talented Alexandra Egan taking off 3lb, she can score.

R2 - Best Odds On The Betfair Exchange EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes – (14:07)

Legacy Link has some ground to make up on Lyrics Of Life from their Newmarket (July) meeting but there's plenty of reason to believe she can turn the tables. Trained by John and Thady Gosden, this well-bred Frankel filly was giving away experience and missed the break when finishing behind Lyrics Of Life. Like most from that stable, it's likely she'll derive great benefit from her initial outing, while this galloping mile at Haydock should be right up her street with Colin Keane doing the steering.

R3 - Arete Foundation Stakes Handicap – (14:42)

Taygar has held her form well since winning over six furlongs at Ayr earlier in the season, most recently finishing a promising third over the same course and distance. That form took a nice boost when the winner, who was very well-handicapped, followed up in a Racing League handicap next time out, while the drop back to the minimum trip also looks an interesting angle.

R4 - Arete Foundation Stakes Handicap – (15:15)

Corolla Point is a slightly risky proposition but an interesting one at that and the signs are positive given the early market vibes. Ed Bethall's new recruit showed clear ability for Charlie Appleby, making a winning over five at Yarmouth before finishing fourth under a penalty over six at Doncaster next time out. He was no doubt disappointing when only eighth at Ascot on his handicap debut, but he raced freely in the early stages and surely remains capable of better. This mark certainly looks workable, and he could be the one to side with.

R5 – Tattersalls 40,000 EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes – (15:50)

Ed Walker has already enjoyed a fine season with his juveniles and the well-bred Royal runner; Lightning Polka could add another to the tally. The daughter of Night Of Thunder is a half-sister to the smart six-furlong performer Light Refrain and may have enough in the tank to make a winning debut.

R6 - M Group NW Fillies' Handicap – (16:20)

There could be more to come from Spirit Of Jenny. Trained by Steph Hollinshead, she showed clear promise in three qualifying outings before a promising third-place finish on her handicap debut at Newmarket (July) four weeks ago. The daughter of Inns Of Court stayed on nicely at the one pace that day and should be suited by going up to a mile on this more conventional track.
