Sam King is back with two selections on Thursday…

There's plenty of action to get stuck into today across both codes, with seven meetings staged in the UK and Ireland.
The first wager of the day comes down on the South Coast. Antiphon has been hugely disappointing in recent seasons, but it surely won't be long until he's getting his head in front again and I'm hopeful that it could come in the concluding Buzz Bingo Full House Handicap (5.15) at Brighton.
It was only a couple of seasons ago that Antiphon could be found finishing fourth in the ultra-competitive Epsom Dash off a mark in the mid-80s and now he rocks up at Brighton off a basement rating of 51.
Plenty of water has gone under the bridge since then and whilst he's clearly not the force of old, Mike Murphy's charge has shown enough this season to suggest his turn might not be far away.
Having finished no worse than third over this course and distance on his last three outings, he does at least bring a fair degree of consistency to him at this level, which cannot be said for the majority of his rivals with the likes of Alshimali and Juno Star both looking to bounce back to form.
Mike Murphy's contender might get his own way out in front here and if Darragh Keenan can control the fractions, he might prove tough to peg back.
Antiphon – 1pt win
Odds – 7/2
Over at Chelmsford, it's likely that Evening Saigon will be primed for his belated return to action in the 'Timeform Sprint Series Qualifier' Handicap at 5.45.
Off the track for 418 days, Evening Saigon has clearly had his fair share of issues over the last season but it's hard to argue that he doesn't look feasibly treated off a mark of 85 if he returns to anything like the form he showed as a juvenile.
Connections would have been slightly disappointed that he couldn't make a winning start for them under a penalty at Musselburgh last August, but after missing the break, he struggled to get on terms with what would go on to prove two smart prospect in the shape of La Bellota, who sadly passed away when obtaining a rating of 105, and King Of Light, who is currently rated 91.
Once again, the son of Harry Angel returned the beaten favourite when up to six furlongs at Newmarket (July) later in the month but again he ended up bumping into the now 103-rated Invictus Gold.
He's been gelded ahead of his return to action and from handy draw in stall two, James Doyle gets the vote to steer him home to make a winning handicap debut for the Wathnan team.
Evening Saigon – 1pt Win
Odds – 2/1
