Big weekend in Kyoto

With the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup on Sunday and the Daily Hai Nisei over 1600m with a surprisingly small field of 7.

Saturday's race has Run For Vow, a Lord Kanaloa filly, on top on 2.7 with Sakai riding and

Next best Dragon Boost, a daughter of Screen Hero, on 4.0

Sunday's Cup has a field of 17 f&m.  Regaliera is a 3yo filly who has taken on the boys in recent races and now will tackle the older girls – she is the only 3yo filly in the race so has a weight advantage but she has also shown she has a tremendous finish.  Lemaire will partner her and the current odds have her at 1.6.

Next best looks to be Shinryokuka on 11.2 – she won the Niigata Kinen this summer and is on 11,2.  Wholeness is Irish bred and comes here with a record that shows she has been in the first three for all six of her starts to date.  Currently on 11.8 and Sakai rides.

Saliera was 6th in this race last year and Ryan Moore, who has along with Hollie Doyle and Tom Marquand received a temporary licence, will be aboard her.  Currently on 12.8.

As is the case at Sha Tin, the strong odds-on favourite allows for some good possibilities in the multiples.
