Friday sees the running of the Guiness Galway Blazers Handicap Chase which has 20 runners and 3 reserves.  It is very open so the (new) sharp pin has come up with Antrim Coast 5/1 for Cromwell- Connor Stone-Walsh.  Then Native Speaker 15/2 for Henry de Bromhead and Donogh O'Keefe, Moonovercloon 4/1 for the Smiths M and J and San Salvador 10/1 for Joseph O'Brien and J J Slevin.

The Guiness Handicap is over 2400m and has 18 starters led by Acapulco Bay for Aidan O'Brien – Wayne Lordon and he has the advantage of coming out of gate 1 as the low numbers are considered advantageous.  Cloud Seeker has nearly the worst gate in 17 but trainer-jockey Slattery should be able to find a position to justify the 7/2.  Then we have two runners on 6/1 – Cheeky Wink for Murtagh-Coen and Fleetfoot for Bolger-McDonogh with both having low number gates.
