The G1 saw the Andfre Fabre trained Sajir storm through the field to score an upset win.
Actually it was more of an upset for the bookies as we had been watching his progress and felt he could be getting there. He was pulled from a race at Ascot when he became restless in the stalls but that was a very hot day.
Oisin Murphy was the pilot in Maurice de Gheest and managed to get Sajir into the right spot at the right time and then let him go to the line where he finished 1 ¼ lengths ahead of favourite Lazzat who had a battle in the straight with Woodshauna which he won by a head.
The Prix Daphnis went to Sahlan, a Wooton Basset with Graffard and Barzalona on board who went off at 10/1, beating Ciaran 9/1 and Silius third. It was not Scovillle's day!

The wonderful Robel's Romance has done it again.
This time the jockey was19yo Billy Loughnane as Will Buick was on Deauville Duty (only to have his mount scratched) and he scored his first G1 win as RR scored his 8th.
Junko gave them plenty to think about as he kept niggling at them but in the end RR purred into victory just as if his initials had been for "Rolls Royce".
