Racing officials have made a decision on the fate of the Civic Stakes.
The Listed Civic Stakes has been added to the midweek card at Warwick Farm after heavy rain prompted the postponement of Saturday's Randwick meeting.
The 10-event program was declared a wash out after stewards deemed the course proper unsafe for racing due to excess surface water.
The $200,000 Civic Stakes (1400m) was the feature event at Randwick, with racing officials later determining to reschedule it to the Wednesday timeslot.
Racing NSW confirmed the move in a statement issued on Saturday, adding that the original Civic Stakes field, headed by top weight Tamerlane, would be carried forward with all scratchings reinstated.
An 1100m benchmark race set down for the midweek program has also been reopened for nominations to potentially cater for a handful of horses who missed a run at Randwick.
