On the horse's background: "Yeah, it was fantastic. It's a good story behind this horse. We, of course, we trained the mare and we heard this guy was out in the paddock, so we went out and looked at him and he ended up going through the sales ring. He didn't go through and then Matty sent it our way and we're very thankful because he's got a lot of ability and he was great to get a nice win."
"I think all trainers, you know, they remember the good horses they trained and she was one."
On the run: "And look, it was a great ride by Blake. They went really hard there through the middle stages and he actually looked like he dropped the bit, but he picked up, he cornered well. He's raced a couple of times here and to get this result is just huge, so it's really cool."
Improving type: "He is. And again, it's very difficult to do it all in a first prep and we put the crossover (noseband) on today and I think he raced a bit better with that and it's just a great result all round and the whole team's happy."
Possible targets: "We'll have to have a good chat. And look, he's beaten a very high-class field here, so we'll see how he pulls up, but he could be racing in some nicer races for sure."
Winning Jockey: Blake Shinn
"It was a good pressure race. They went quick right from the start, and we had a nice cart into the race. We got on the back of Linda Meach who was obviously touted as a really promising horse, and she carted me everywhere I needed to go.
"This horse has been running really well in some good races and he really deserved it. The boys have kept him up for a longtime, just rapt to get the ride and deliver a great result for not only them but Matthew Sandblom. He's a big investor in the game and he'll be thrilled.
"Nice little tenacious, quick horse. Nice to get the first one knocked off."
