Following in dam and grand dam's record in the race: They're pretty big shoes to fill for those two mares too, so it was a great ride on the very trying circumstances for Mark. He was pretty keen to rude her (today) because he liked what he'd seen last start.

"He (Zahra) got that three-ride line and he was pretty keen to get on board her and get on to ride her because he liked what he'd seen last start and he's able to execute the job really strong, really perfectly today.

Was this on race on the radar before the last win: "Like every three-year-old filly, you have aims towards these races here and it's a little bit tricky now whether you go on - do you try and create an Oaks filly or do you keep her fresh?

"She's still a pretty immature filly, whether the Oakos comes up too quick as a spring three-year-old, but look, we'll enjoy today, get her home.

"She's obviously got great stamina and she showed that to me - no, not stamina - toughness when I gave her a pretty tough trial and she just bounced through it and she bounced through a tough win the other day, so I've got no fear that she'll come out of this really well too.

On the tough race conditions in the strong rain: "I don't think I've ever taken out a rain like that before, so I don't think she would have ever seen it.

"I certainly wouldn't have gone out and watched her in it, but that was a really trying effort for horses and jockeys and all participants.

"But let's just think with Mark's ride, he was able to get back on the three-wide line and get good vision and give it clear air late, so it was fantastic.

"She was quite a handful as a young horse. She's quite an intelligent filly. If she doesn't want to do something, she doesn't want to do it, so when the rain came I was a little bit nervous that she could just come out and dig the toes in.

"You've seen a couple of her runs here at Moonee Valley and at Caulfield, she got a long way back and just didn't feel like going, but she just seems to be getting her head around it now."

Winning Jockey: Mark Zahra

"I travelled well. You could barely see - the wind was sort of coming in hard too and I managed to get the back of the favourite.

"Actually ran straight up his bum at about the 600 and I was just confident she'd outstay him and in those conditions she was the strongest.

Track conditions during the race: "It was just mainly surface water then because it was dry and then we got a big shower.

"It's definitely going to go into the slow range, that's for sure."
